power off your printer, open your printer's left side, disassembly starwheel axis motor, clean the gears, re-plug all parts (if any part does not broken) , press up and enter buttons and hold, power on your printer, it will gets u in service mode, find "unlock carriage" and press ok, restart your printer.

Star wheel motor unit faulty, most of the cases I found star wheel motor gear pinion are damaged,see the snap shot for the reference..Simply replace star wheel gear assm. Removing star wheel motor. Remove left cover,formatter, spittoon,star wheel..Pl see the snap shot to under stand how to remove star wheel unit... Perform star wheel test after replacing the unit.... 1.Chech trailing cable, any damage/continuity failed... replace
2.Carriage PCA might be faulty..replace
3.Main PCA..replace

check the catridges thier must be a mixing up of color when you were refilling the catridges

The dates are on the package for a reason. The ink dries out or changes viscosity over time and will likely clog the printhead. My advice is not to stock up on cartridges because of this problem. If you look online, you can find replacement chips or instructions on how to reset the chip on the cartridge.
