My onkyo ht r530 won't power on what could I do

Download HTR530 Service manual. How to measure voltages?(a)connect the black probe to the heart sink via acrocodile clip. Heat sink can be found easily if you are looking for 12 power transistors.(b)the red probe can connect to any interested points, for example, the POFF (see video1)Check voltages first: POFF(must have. And check 3 components circled in blue see video 1 the last measured voltage) ,10VS (must have)and 12V and also the MPowerd voltage (see video 1) Video 1 shows the MPowerd voltage The lst measured voltagethe - MPowerd voltagemust be ZERO when the amp is switched ON.. Are these voltages present? If so, check reset or you can replace them directly (circled in yellow See video2 and video3)Plug the amp, to see if it is working. If not ,replace 3 components circled in red.If not working again, you can replace the crystal X701,a component 6 MHz, not easily damaged (see video4).If also not working, CPU is torn out.7e428cc5-5b4c-4c0b-8d4e-4efa116156ca.jpg

I have an Onkyo TX-SR576 and the Digital Optical Audio Cord won't stay in the receiver - thus no sound. Just hoping to fix it - So if you can, any pointers would be great.

Have you tried replacing the cord? If a new one doesn't work, then it sounds like the socket is just damaged, or has something stuck inside it! In which case the socket would need to be replaced, if broken.

I have a Onkyo HT-r500 that continues to cut off as soon as it is powered up, how can I fix it?

It might be detecting an overload on the power amp stages. Check all you speakers and cables, even if you haven't got anything connected to it, as one of them might have caused the fault in the first place. You will need to check all the output devices (located on the big heat sink) for shorts.

When connecting AT-LP120 Audio technica turntable to Onkyo stereo receiver TX-8140 I get distorted sound - the turntable came with set cables installed to connect. How do I resolve this problem

hi, instead of plugging your turntable into "phono in" on the amp just try a regular auxilary input like aux ,video, or cd. sounds like the turntable output isnt like the old ones and may be just a regular output.

Onkyo tx sr 373. why do I still get sound on Coaxial input when I have no connected wire in coaxial input ?

Is it the sound of something you have connected? Or is the sound of another source? In which case this could be caused by the socket itself picking up signals from say a wireless device. Or poor shielding on cables.

What is the problem of my Onkyo TX-SR505, front left speaker s not working

Bad contact of RL6600. You can exchange RL6600 with RL6603. (Unplug the amp. Remove RL6600 and install RL6603)Left and right speakers will get sound while RL6600 won't . Problem is RL6600. Download TX-SR505 service manual and see P.44. If You can open RL6600, remove black oxide on 4 contacts of RL6600. Problem can be fixed.9_20_2018_3_09_00_am.jpgreplace rl6600. jpg-4diogeuslvtkcz4lzwvicesi-4-2.jpg

Can I connect a ProsoundL10AN graffic equaliser to my Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver

Only if there is a suitable output from the receiver and a suitable input to the graphic equaliser. You will need to read the specs for both and ensure they are matched for sensitivity and if possible also for impedance - even using standard line out/line in sockets (if fitted) can sometimes have a large disparity with typical output level/input sensitivity of anything from half a volt to around two volts.

I have a onkyo by r540 receiver with a rc 649m remote. I have a manual for the receiver, but none for the remote, nor can I locate one. Do you have a programming instruction for an onkyo rc 649m remote

The Onkyo RC-649M remote was included with the Onkyo HT-S790 (with the HT-R540 receiver), among other sound systems. The directions for using this remote are thus in the HT-S790 manual. Onkyo has this manual here: https://www.intl.onkyo.com/downloads/manuals/pdf/ht-s790_manual_e.pdf . See pages 13-17 for information on using the remote. Look at page 69 and the subsequent pages for the remote control programming directions and code list. To program the remote for a specific device, press and hold the Mode button (TV, DVD, etc) that you want to program. While holding this mode button, press and hold the Display button (the lowest button on the left side of the remote) for 3 seconds. Then enter the 4 digit code that applies for your device/manufacturer. (If there are multiple codes, you will need to test the remote and try again until you find a code that works.) I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

5.1 onkyo receiver model tx-sr304e should the output voltage measured at the speaker terminals with volume at zero be O to 20 millivolts ? Thanks Jeff G

using a voltmeter to detect DC output protection in each channel or speaker, spk, terminal, you were using a WRONG METHOD. Before DC able to come out of each spk terminal, DC protection will be triggered with all spk relays in OFF state. A spk connected to defected spk terminal will be damaged due to DC output, otherwise. Your method won't help you to locate any faulty DC output channels nor to fix DC protect in Onkyo AV amp. A special method is needed with metal caging of av amp removed. Write down your email here if you want to DIY.Besides, I've deleted the email written on SR600 Capacitor replacement on you tube.

My Onkyo TX-SV525 keeps turning off 1 second after I turn it on. Any help please.

First question with electronics, especially computers is what happened last before it stopped working. Have you tried allowing it to cool and unplugging everything from it?

How do I know if I need a firmware update on my Onkyo receiver?

The receiver should do that itself, but you should be able to manually check for one. Then update as needed.

Hi we have a onkyo amplifier but it does not change between input its been hardly used can you help please

No any change between inputs. Very easy to fix.
Search SR600 Capacitor replacement on you tube and send an email to me. I will tell you how to fix. Asking Onkyo to fix costs you 110USD or above. Why? They replace the related circuit board. DIY-FIX costs you less than 15USD. Whether you want to fix it, of course, depending on you.
