the problem has to be from the display inverter board. The display inverter board is responsible from bringing display on the screen. Now since is no longer display, then it mean it has become defective.Get a philips screw driver, disassemble the unit in order to get to the display screen. You will see a kind of flex or wire connected to the screen. The board where the wire/flex is coming from into the screen is the display inverter board. The board is rectangular in shape.Remove the board, take it to an electronics parts store within your vicinity for exact replacement and the unit should display again.

hi there might be...first go to my computer, then locate the dvd drive, right click that and then properties, then click the hardware tab at top then in the list locate dvd drive then at bottom right click on properties then click dvd region and then you should be able to change it....hope that helped

You'll need a decoder from a program like cyber dvd or win dvd. Nero also has one and sonic too. If the drive came with a dvd player program install it. You can also find them through windows media player at microsoft's website but they will cost a few bucks. Search the internet for dvd player software you may find one for free. I hope this helps you. If you are like me you might have a program in your pile of software cds'.

In Windows, open My Computer/Computer and explore/open the disk from it's drive.

Hello there... Sony seems a choosy brand so it looks like your disc is not recognized by it. Check also your disc for scratches or you just need to clean your disc first before you can use it. Try it. If this doesn't help, try inserting your disc to other CD-ROM. See if your disc is okay. Hope this helps...

The push-button activates a small motor that turns a small rubber belt/ band that opens the cassette door. Since it's not been used for 10 yrs, I would say these belts would have deteriorated and broken. you will need to replace them. the best bet is to open it up and check. if its the case, you should be able to source the belts on ebay.

this is easy, that OUT OF range means the PC sending video is sending and illegall higher resolution than the projector supports (or even less, on this old junk) the manual on that old projector is clear on that. max.SONY VPL-EX4 2007, 13 years old now. and back then projectors STINK ! your manual shows this, and stinks.what stinks worse is no matrix of legal H./V resolutions shown in the manual. Hi, Looks like you are having a bad LCD screen, This could be due to drop damage. Cracks can be so tiny and may not be visible immediately. I would take it to a technician and get a screen replacement.

You probably need more ram memory. Also try playing a video in your dvd player. If it plays slow and choppy you definitely need more ram memory.If you are trying to play a video from a website (streaming) then three things can affect how smooth it plays.1) Memory - your ram memory might be low2) The website might be experience heavy traffic from many users.3) The Line Speed of your internet connection from your service provider might be slow. For example: AT&T sells about 3 or 4 different packages and each one increases the line speed for uploading or downloading.
