I plug in my razr2v9m

hi good day and welcome to fixya service
here is my solution since your phone has not been used for about a year usually the cause is loose contact at the charging port, turn off the phone then try to spray with electronic contact cleaner then wait to dry for about a minute. now after a while plug your charger make sure the charger is working fine then observed if it works. now if still doesn't charge, if you don't have enough tools and device, for safety just send it to the cellphone repair shop they have enough tools and equipment to replace parts. the charging port might need to replace and the charging IC need for check up. hope this will help thanks for consulting.

Disassembly and reassembly of Motorola RAZR2 V9M

One fun way to customize a cellular flip phone like the motorola razr2 v9m is by replacing the housing with one of a different color or design. Many people don't know that this can be done without the help of a service technician. In fact, you can change the phone housing on your motorola razr2 v9m by yourself in less than an hour.

Things You'll Need:
  • Small Phillips screwdriver
  • Tweezers
Turn off your motorola razr2 v9m, flip it closed and turn it over. Press the battery latch on the top of the phone down and slide the battery compartment cover off of the back of the phone. Lift the square battery out of the phone and set it aside.

Use your small Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws located on either side of the battery compartment.

Use your fingers to gently pry the lower panel off the back of the device. Be careful as it will still be connected to the phone via a ribbon cable. Use your fingers to unplug the ribbon cable where it connects to the side.
Turn the back panel over and you will see the motherboard and speaker assembly housed in the back panel. Use the tip of your screwdriver to pop up the two clips on either side of the bottom of the motherboard and release it. Then lift the motherboard out of the panel.
Use your tweezers to lift the black speaker from its circular compartment in the bottom of the panel. Then, fit the speaker in its compartment in the new back panel. Place the motherboard over the speaker and secure it in place by pushing down on the tabs on the corners of the motherboard.
Locate the back of the mouthpiece, at the bottom of the phone, just under where the back panel used to sit. Use your screwdriver to remove the four screws holding the panel in place and remove the mouthpiece by pulling it gently away from the bottom of the phone.

Use the tip of your screwdriver to pry up the four tabs (two on each side) that hold the keyboard in place. Turn the phone over and lift the keypad away from the device.
Place the keypad in its place in the new front housing and press the four tabs on the back of the housing down to secure it. Slide the new plastic mouthpiece in at the bottom of the new housing. Replace the four screws on the back of the mouthpiece.
Replace the back panel, making sure to connect the ribbon cable to the side of the new housing. Replace the two screws just above it, on either side of the battery compartment, replace the battery and new battery cover, and you are done.

Screens are still on but are black why?

The connector between the main circuit board and the LCD could have been damaged, like what the other person said, it's common to flip and slide phones.

Motorola razr2 v9m wont charge

My guess is that the charging port in your phone has gone bad. By holding it a certain way, you may be reconnecting it just enough to make the connection. Probably have a loose or broken wire inside your phones port. You may also see this is a problem if you try to hook it up to a pc.
