I turned it off, then took the battery out for 5 minutes then put in back in and turned it back on, this should work, however for me it didn't so i turned it off and on again on doing this it went to the normal loading screen

Hello,there is nothing wrong with your screen, the problem is from the flex that connects your screen to the phone's main board. This flex must have worn out that's why your screen is not displaying any picture.The problem is common with flip and slide phones. The flex gets worn out as a result of constant opening and close of the flip or slide phone.I would urge you to replace the flex and I am assuring you that your screen will display picture again. this is simply the volume key on the left side of your phone.. it has a fake call feature when you press and hold the bottom button for like a fraction of a second.. you can deactivate it from phone settings :)
