Indesit wil103 makes LOUD banging noise on spin cycle

The two dampers that fix to the outer drum casing have plastic bushes that can fall out. Check the floor under the machine, They are easy to replace just click in place.

Fabric softner does not empty

Hi not sure how these work as we dont have them in the UK. With UK machines the soap and fabric softner are put into a drawer that pulls out the front of the machine. When softner and soap arnt going into machine properly we take drawer out and wash it in warm water, you usually find a lot of gunk built up blocking it, perhaps you have a similar problem. Hope this helps

After the washer rinses and

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France

I mostly do answer front load problems but ' out of balance' is a common problem with both!

It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine, even when empty, has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)

Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine (sorry about my UK spelling!) and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal drum suspension is malfunctioning.

Good luck,

Washer is not draining the

Good question.

I personally have owned that exact model, I was fond of it, and while I did not have your problem, I have known the repair process.

I did have another problem that was in warranty and after several visits it was corrected, my issue proved to be electronic and some malfunctioning unit within needed to be replaced.

Your problem sounds exactly like a clogged or kinked hose.

A kink is easy to see, the hose turns too sharp a corner and then cannot allow water to pass in the time the electronic brain has allowed for that step in the process. If it is a clog then the blockage is not visible from the outside, and this could come to exist due to lint or certain natural soaps that have photo-degraded before use and congeal, though I doubt the soap (love the natural soaps myself and am totally happy with them.)

Borax is a laundry "additive" that is anachronistic and uncommon now used but still can be bought, ask your grocer is you have trouble finding it. It also functions as an excellent water softener and soap dissolve, for lack of a better description. Si if you run an empty load, with hot water and a half a cup of borax, maybe a couple of times, and do not see any improvement, then I am going to suggest you focus on the lint blockage, kink or the electronic equivalent of a kink.

By electronic equivelant I mean that some function is not acting as it should when it is supposed to drain, but you knew that obviously. What I can share is, after seeing this machine taken apart by an expert I know: it is NOT user servicable, do not open it up and expect to find the problem.

Also it has large cinder blocks built into its frame for balance / ballast so it is darn heavy and moving it to see the hoses behind may be reasonably a 2 person job. Be careful, please don't twist when heaving this machine aside.

These blocks allow it to spin exceedingly fast once the water has drained but if it has not drained it does not have the strength to muscle through and spin fast anyway, so the one (not draining) may be causing the other.

SO run it empty with just the Borax a couple of times, see if it drains, see if it spins. If not you may need to involve a professional but try to get one who will be results oriented (as opposed to paying by the hour since that would be a system where the less competent would make more money) and know that your machine IS repairable. But let's keep our fingers crossed it wont come to that.

Good luck to you, I hope you machine returns to proper functionality.

Washer wont agitate or spin

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

The washer is level, but

Hi,
this is because your flour may be very smooth and there is no grip below.Due to fast rotation of the drum during the spin time it starts to move. Please try to place the machine on top of a rubber pad which provides some sort of grip at the bottom
Thank You

Stains on clothing

Usually black oily stains are a symptom of a rear main drum bearing starting to go bad. The seal goes bad first and the packing grease will start to weep out as water gets into the bearings. Is the washer starting to get loud during any spin cycle? If so, I think your bearing is starting to go. It's not a cheap fix, either. The whole back shell of the outer wash tub has to be replaced because the bearings are molded into the plastic. I hope this is helpful in some way.
