Check your lid switch first. You should hear a subtle click when the lid closes. That's a safety switch. Sometimes the flap that pushes down the little button inside breaks off. It can be replaced by removing the top of the washer since more than likely it's hinged in the back. If the switch does not seem to be the problem then move on with oldguy5's suggestion.

Hi I have a kenmore that is moving when it spins....some water left when spin is completed. We recently moved the machine to clearn behind it and this issue started. movement is about an inch per cycle.....can you help? thankse ,pde 22422

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

check the power to the motor when the cycle works. If not the motor is faulty.

The lint will build up in your ventilation tube very rapidly and become a fire hazard. It will also get all over the wiring inside of your dryer and cause shorts. This will happen anyway but over a length of time. Bottom line...keep your lint trap in, clean it regularly, an stay on top of cleaning your vent line as well.

Remove the agitator by unscrewing the top and pulling straight up (be careful to not hit yourself in the face if it lets go suddenly). the part is a little rubber/plastic bushing that has wore out it is on the shaft coming off of motor to the other unit to work washer u should be able to see this when washer tilted up and see the wore part and is mildly easy fix unless this is a all enclosed unit with engine
