Login in using your browser and go to the wireless settings and set-up a wireless password/key. Remember the key because each device will now need it to connect. You can also turn OFF Broadcast SSID and your network name will not be shown on anyone's device. You must remember the network name when using this method.
I forget my dlink password
Type your router's IP address -192.168.0.1- into your Web browser.
At the login screen, select "Admin" from the drop down menu and enter your admin password.
Once you access the Web configuration screen, click "Setup" in the top menu.
Select the "Wireless Settings" link on the left-hand side.
From there, click on the "Manual Wireless Connection Setup" button.
Scroll down to the field representing my "Pre-Shared Key". If you don't see it, select a security mode from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the screen first.
Type in a new password.

Disable enable upnp
Login to the router on its default IP address (sticker on the bottom) - there's an option in the settings to disable uPnP - though unless you know what you're doing, I'd recommend leaving it on.

This should be from your internet provider:
usually it is a email and a password.
Sometimes you must use the login info on your modem
Your ISP should be able to supply this info.
Connection problems
From what you have told us, it appears that the routers motherboard or chipsets have taken some damage due to the power outages, I'm assuming most of the damage would of occurred during the restore of power to the device, unfortunately you have also done all the obvious and clear paths to troubleshooting the problem without actually inspecting the devices main board. The inevitable purchase of a new router looks likely and i would suggest purchasing a surge protector along with the router to protect the new asset from suffering the same fate. If this is going to be too expensive for you at once, i would also recommend unplugging the device completely from it's power outlet during the next power outage and then you can plug the device back in once power is restored to your premise.
How to have a password
If you mean how to setup WPA or WPA2 encryption then - Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open the browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link's configuration URL.. http://192.168.0.1 The default login = admin The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password. You can now configure the wireless settings. (SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access). Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-
