Computer freezes a couple of minutes after booting up
Overheating When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail. A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust. Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

My computer is damaged idk
There are a couple steps you can take to find out if you are not afraid to open the computer.
Open the computer and find the memory sticks. Remove all of them, if there are more than one, and try starting the computer. Be sure you are touching the metal on the case before you remove them or replace them to remove any chance of static shock.
If you get beep codes your motherboard and powersupply are working.
If you do get beep codes put one memory stick in and try again. If you only have one stick try that. If it still does not work move the memory stick to a different slot and try again.
I had a similar problem with another computer with bad memory.

I have an ACER AX1700-u3700a
If it was an intermittent problem, like the computer would turn on 1 out of every 4 attempts WITH the video card in, then MAYBE it's a bad power supply. With everything you have said though, it definitely just sounds like a bad video card. I have burned out 2 video cards myself and had to replace them, so I wouldn't be shocked that you have a bad one because they seem to go out more often than power supplies.
Replacing either component can be pretty costly, so if you want to test the hardware before you go off and buy new hardware, I would try to borrow a working power supply of equal or greater wattage and try to run your computer with that and your current video card. To see if you can get it going, but I'm betting the video card melted somewhere.

My acer ax1700 u3700a will
When I had this problem it turned out to be my video card (unless my p/s is on its way out and just won't power the video card anymore). Removed the video card and switched to onboard VGA and it boots fine. Had no Win7 Aero though so I went into bios and set it to onboard VGA and UMA 256 instead of Auto and my Aero is back as well.

My acer ax1700 u3700a will not turn on. I think
When you turn it on, does it respond? Do any lights lit up? Do you have a known good ac adapter to try it with? Or is the ac adapter you are using lits up and/or powering on a different computer?Try to test both to check the functionality of the ac adapter and the port. If ac adapter will work with a different pc, then possibly the port is damaged. You may need to replace the motherboard. If still it wont turn on, then you may just need to replace the ac adapter.

Freezes up
Hello, Trravrrn.
Naturally that can happen due to multiple, multiple reasons. Many are natural known ones like viruses, hardware failures, and software errors.
What I'd say is go to the problems section and restate this question you asked again but instead state some of the recent changes you have made to the computer itself.

Mpowering technology pop up
Couldn't get rid of mpowereing technology pop up. Tried every solution offered by the internet. Finally I noticed when I powered up my computer the pop up showed up even before the computer loaded anything. I turned off the power to the monitor and powered it back up an viola, pop up gone. The Acer monitor had generated the pop up.
My Acer X1110 switches off as soon as blue light comes on?
it needs service, and service manuals are hard to find on anything by the likes of ACER.
this projector worked for 12 long years, did you own it 12 or bought a bad projector, no history told as I can buy dead projectors all day long. and hard nut problems even hacking done.
Acer X1110 data projector Standard throw projector..
did you know most projectors have serious grade protective devices inside??? (tamper and overheating are 2)
did you read owners manual page 32 yet, errors.
LED codes.?
there are 4 LED, and all 4 matter, projector turned (ON) (not one =1)
also in pairs glowing and also if blinking or not, so read page 32
it tells all that.
my guess is overheat failures, even cold, due fan slow or packed in lint after 12 years of use and no service done,.

some have dust filtler
a shop first cleans is out first, and check fan RPM with and LED tachometer.
this is all SOP.
''e'' button :acer empowering technology
That button can be set using the utility on your programs list
It maybe that you accidentally turned it off or set it to do some other task.
Start there first before re-installing the program that sets it.
That is on one of the cds that should have come with it and can be installed by itself.
