I bought an RCA
Since this player don't have any software or driver for macbook sorry to say but there's no way that this unit will work with it. Because in order for a device to work on a computer it needs a software/driver in order for it to be recognized and to work with the computer.

Sound quality changes when I fully insert earphone
Hi,
Please let me know that when you say that the sound quality changes, do you mean that the sounds gets bad/low/not clear.
Are the earphones new/old, or do you see suspect any broken wires inside the earphones as they are too sensitive.
Also check for the headphone jack pin, and try connecting it slowly inside the palyer and let me know if you see any diffrenece in audio quality at any stage.
Fix my mp3

What's the video format to add videos
You can load 'suitable' Video files (MPEG4/WMV/AVI) via Internet Explorer in the same manner as for your Audio files but in the appropriate folder(s) on your Player.
If you cannot use EasyRip, there are other 'Video Converters' that could be used to convert your Video fles to your Player supported format.
You can determine what is a 'suitable' video (or Audio for that matter) format by using Windows Explorer 'Properties' for a known files on your player.
Good luck...
