Broiler won't work

the broil element is the heating element that is found at the top of the oven and produces a very high heat for broiling. If the broil element isn't working, you should first do a visual inspection for signs that the element has blistered or separated. If the element appears normal then you can check for continuity with a multi-meter. Remove power from the appliance before performing this test. Remove the back panel and locate the terminals for the broil element and inspect the terminals and wires for signs of overheating or damage. If there is no continuity then the element will need to be replaced. If the wires are damaged then they will need to be repaired. If the element is ok then you will need to check the broil circuit to determine the cause. This involves live voltage checks and should only be performed by qualified persons. Components to check include fuses, if the range is equipped, and oven control thermostat or electronic control.

Half of the element of my range stopped working. How to diagnose or fix a short-circuit?

OK 1 D/C the power to stove. 2 get an olms meter and remove the burners, 3 Put one test wire on the wire to elements wiring other end to plug. . turn on burner switch and see if you get 0 ohms reading if so good cercert. if not bad. move the test lead to each of the 3 plug prongs. before you move to the next wire to the element./ You trace them all you will find your short. also inspect all wire for brakes that could be touching metal. Hope this helps mike

SHOULD BAKE ELEMENT GET RED

Yes. It gets red when it is heating; it'll go on and off to maintain oven temp. If it doesn't work at all it could be loose, burned out, to other electrical problem.

0Hello,

The F10 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F10 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced .

Oven displaying code F1

Sorry to read about your problem.

Try this to determine which part is needed.

This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control panel.
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F1 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).
7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

E0-F2- what does that mean

Hi, you have a keypad problem here. First try pressing the cancel/off button for 5 seconds. If the code is still there, disconnect the power for about a minute and connect. If the error returns you will have to get someone to disconnect the keypad ribbon cable from the main board, clean the end with an eraser and re-connect it. Re-apply the power and see if the error returns. If the error returns, probably a bad keypad. E0-F2= stuck or shorted keypad....
