i ave a live switch leg no switch wil sensor function correctly or will it always stay on?

Here goes......First of all I Have the wireless model sensor.....I called heath and they replaced the sensor......Still did not work...Like you the flood lite stays on......I called them again and they said it could be the floodlite base. they told me to to send it back to the warrantee dept which I just did today.....

I have had a lot of problems with this model of sensor. I bought 6 a few months ago and they all are bad. I have since switch to a different model sl-5315-wh-a and all seems good again. I got them from Lowes. I think that they were around $23 each. I have been using these type sensors on my house for 20 years and have replaced them all at least 2 times.

there is a slide switch on the bottom of the sensor......test....1 min.....5min...
u may have to reset the sensor....turn power off .....then remove batteries.....wait 5 min....then turn on power....then replace batteries ......do not move the sensor and wait 1.5 minutes...
U can also call heath zenith @ 800 858-8501 and talk to tech support....

Clean the light motion sesor plate under the light bulb.It dirty and it cover with dirts and moister probally that,why it on all the times.

In the Zenith I have installed The motion sensor battery slot was h at the back side of the sensor, you had to remove the sensor from the wall sliding it on one side to access the battery. It mounted two AA batteries, not AAA.

If problems continue, I imagine the light sensor may be bad, you can replace the whole unit for not too much money.

Your motion detector is based on infrared or heat sensing technology. Moving air or wind will make your unit more sensitive to false alarming. Here are a few things for you to check: 1) make sure your unit is sealed. Any holes or openings in the unit's casing will affect operation. 2) you may need to readjust the unit's sensitivity. There may be an adjustment pod or jumper inside the detector to reduce sensitivity. 3) make sure the unit is mounted securely. If the wind causes the detector to move, even slightly, this could be the cause of your problem.

Put a cover (shoe box, piece of cardboard, etc.) over the eye to block any possible movement that it may be seeing. If it still acts the same, then the electronics have failed. If it doesn't, then the eye is seeing something that you are not.

Put the batteries in the door chime. To transfer an MP3 to the door chime, connect it to a computer with a USB cable. Open the folder to view files and drag the new (short, <= 20 seconds long) tune into the folder. Eject the door chime (like any USB hard drive) and remove the USB cable from the door chime. Next press the Tune button to cycle through the tunes on the door chime for the front door chime. Stop when the desired tune is played. That will be played any time the front chime is pressed. If you add the jumper to pin 8, the door chime will ding as that is the rear rear door sound. For the front door, make sure that the switches (1-7) on the push button match those for the door chime. You can certainly use an extension power bar with a a circuit overload breaker in it, but move it somewhere other than under the bed.
