Hi, If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heatingthe most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Sounds like the screen/sock combo got the tub in a bind and the drum belt broke.

if the glow bar is lighting the next thing will be the gas valve there are two coils on top of the gas valve that have wires going to them replace both coils "they come as a kit"

I normally don't work on gas dryers but it sounds like the drum rollers are in need of lubrication. Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots or wear on them replace them. If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem. looking at the model # i believe this is a gas dryer? the machine is likely not igniting therefore not heating. you need to look at the glow coil to see what color it is. if it is orange in color you need to replace it, because it has to glow white hot in order for it to ignite the gas from the gas valve.

It can really only be two things. The element or wiring to it has failed or The Thermal fuse has been overheated and cut off power. Both can be checked with a Digital Multimeter. If your Amana dryer is not heating, it likely has either a defective heating element, thermal fuse, high-limit thermostat, or cycling thermostat. If you have a gas dryer, it is likely not heating because of a defective gas valve solenoid. Feb 2, 2022

That is dangerous. Call for service, the law says only registered gas technicians can work on gas appliances. Turn the gas off at the rear. There is enough gas in a dryer leak to blow your windows out on that floor. The igniter or thermocouple is faulty.

Question edited for clarity.No, you normally do a full tear down and split the outer drum to get to the screw on the inner drum. You could undo it with grips from inside and use a magnet taped to a coat hanger to collect the screw from between the gap.

It is a gas appliance and can only be worked on by a register gas certified technician.

Check your lint screen and vent for restrictions or clogs. Then check the resistance for the thermistor at the control board. You need to confirm that the wiring and replacement thermistor are undamaged. Look for the white connector and test across pin 2 (blue) and pin 6 (red). If the resistance is in range, then the control board is faulty. Replace the control board. I hope this helps.
