You need to leave the machine off for a period of time, Perhaps overnight or longer. When the battery back up runs out any stored fax will be deleted. If you have succeeded the first page should a report telling you this fact.

If this fails you can always wind your carbon paper backwards so its not wasting on the unprinted stuff but the stuff that has already been printed on.

That's because the line IS busy

The paper is slipping on the rollers that transport the page through the machine. The paper may be too glossy or the rollers may be glazed. You can use a rag moistened with a little white spirit to rejuvenate the rollers and give them a little more life. In time the rollers will wear out completely and will have to be replaced.

Thanks for using FixYa. First, verify that there is actually no paper jam (open all the doors, take out the paper tray and visually inspect). Turn intellifax off and unplug it from all cables (power, USB, etc). Try to hold it upside down and gently shake it so that if there is any paper inside it’s removed. If still it’s not resolved then you have to open the unit and clean the print head. To clean it take a hot water towel with the printer unplugged, clean it till the time you see there is no ink residue on the towel.

Your thermal paper might be coated on the wrong side.

the brother I/F 885MC ( MC stands for message center ) it has a built in answering machine.

to use the built in massage center you need to press the receive mode key till the display reeds
( MSG CTR) next to the time & date

the way the fax need's to be hooked up is from the wall jake to the line jake on your fax machine.

anything you need after that you go from the ext. jake to your ansering machine or extra phone.

Open up the document feeder and clean the scanner glass.

pick up the handset and dial normally.

It means it cannot detect a dial tone. Plug in a regular phone in to check.

It should automatically print out a journal every 50 faxe s.
