The embroidery arms are usually machine specific. I had to label two Husqvarna embroidery units for my neighbor. She had mixed up which embroidery unit went with which machine. She was about to take the machines to the repair shop after the units failed to properly connect to the the embroidery socket on the machine she tried to use. Once the correct embroidery arm was connected to the matching machine, the unit worked fine. (One of the machines was a Designer 1. I'm not sure about the second.) I think this machine takes the standard fit needles so you should be able to easily get them. Needles are different sizes, usually in thickness. You use thinner needles for very fine fabrics and thicker needles for heavy fabrics like Denim so for general sewing a middle size needle should be a good option.

This might be harder than imagined. It could be soldered in place or it may have strain reliefs installed that are hard to get loose. The plug end could be proprietary. You may want to see if you can find one on Amazon or Ebay

MOST LIKELY IT HAS LOTS OF THREAD UNDER THE PLATE AND A REPAIR SHOP IS NEEDED TO GET IT OUT

Is this a memory that worked previously in the same machine?

Regardless, try formatting another stick using the machine and not a PC.

Be sure the stick capacity does not exceed the maximum size supported by the machine.

It needs professional service unless you want to get in there and see what has come adrift in there. A linkage has lost a pin or a screw.
