Your machine's feeddog drop control may loose or worn. Your authorized Viking repair dealer can fix the problem .

it may be broken or your machine may have other electrical problems. Have your authorized Viking repair dealer troubleshoot the machine.

Have your authorized Viking dealer procure a replacement board from Viking or perhaps get a board from a used machine that another dealer might have. Failing both options above, purchase a newer Viking sewing machine.

You do not oil Viking machines.

It could be lint jammed into the jack the cord plugs into. Make sure the jack and plug are both clean and free of lint. It also could be a damaged cord. If a friend has a working Viking pedal try borrowing theirs to see if it works on your machine. If not, your machine might need service.

I have a white 666. I can email a copy of the manual that came with it. Tattered and old but complete. I would LOVE to get my hands on a service manual. No one around seems to know anything about them and I'm afraid to let just anyone touch it. I love that machine. It has outlived two portables.

In case you haven't figured it out already, you can't. I suggest getting a 4D version with a dongle on Ebay.

You can remove the rear cover by taking out two screws on the back cover and a screw at the lower rear corner on the side. With this cover removed you can see most of the internal levers and mechanism and be able to access some (not all) components.

try dropping your feed dogs and then bringing them up again. This unblocked one of my machines once.

I find that the first time I start sewing the bobbin thread often doesn't engage. Therefore I just feed the bobbin thread through the hole of the thread plate when I start. After that it seems to work on its own.

I have an EM10 that I just bought 2 weeks ago and after doing a defrag it now says the main motor stalled and it is making this horrible sound. I am searching online for parts and I can't find any. I have found that the customer support really sucks for the husqvarna huskystar machine.

Screws are either T10 or T20. There are some on the back and some on the bottom. However, would recommend taking it to a Viking Service Tech for repair. Occasionally you can use tweezers and pull thread out if it is not tightly embedded in the sewing head. 1. Make sure there is bobbin thread. 2. It is very important to have the bobbin thread with the right tension setting. This is done by hanging the bobbin carrier with the bobbin inserted from your finger. Bob it a little and it should extend one inch. If it doesn't extend then loosen the tension(counterclockwise) and opposite if it extends too far. 3. Afterwards insert the assembly and pull a couple inches of thread out. 4. Now, thread the top. 5. Adjust the tension to three. 6. Run three inches of thread under the foot and hold unto the thread. At the same time turn the crank towards you. When the needle goes under the plate and back up it should have the bobbin thread with it. Sometimes the first turn doesn't catch the bobbin thread so try a second time. If this doesn't work then change your needle just in case this is the problem. If this doesn't work you will need a repairman adjust the timing.
