How to adjust tension for thick fabrics
Thick fabrics do not need to have a tension adjustment. The stitches will form just as nicely as on finer fabrics as long as the stitch was properly calibrated to start with.
If the sewing machine has a "pressure" adjustment, increase the pressure until the fabric is easily transported (moves easily under the presser foot).
The pressure adjustment is generally located on top of the machine right above the needle shaft. Some machine do not have this option.
What challenges are you encountering while sewing on heavy fabrics? Maybe I can be of more help with this information.

For the Husqvarna Viking Freesia 415 sewing machine you need the small, push-in type. Here's the specifics:Light Bulb, 12V 5W #979603-001Here's a link to a site that has a pic of bulb and also sells them:http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/light-bulb-12v-5w-979603-001.aspx

Cant get bobbin tension right
Tension of the bobbin depends on the type of fabric you are sewing on. Thin fabrics usually require mid to higher settings. Heavy weight fabrics require lower or looser tension. To check the tension, set to medium number, take a few stitches, then check the underside of the fabric. If the threads are too loose, be sure needle is raised, and change the tension to a higher setting. Take a few stitches and check again. If the fabric pulls too tight, then loosen the tension. Top threads and bottom threads should be the same when you have the correct tension. Your manual may have suggested settings for fabrics also.

Ho can i get bobbin tension right?
Bobbin tension depends on the thickness of the fabric that you're sewing on. A cotton fabric should have medium tension...but a heavy wool would need a looser tension. Best way to get the tension right is to take a few stitches, then look at the bottom side of the fabric. If the threads are loose, then tighten the tension one notch or number. Sew a few stitches, then test again. If the fabric is pulling up tight, then loosen the tension and check again. Top stitches and bottom stitches should both be the same.

When rewinding bobbin on the 415, it is stuck & can't get it off the machine
Some how the bobbin got wound too tight. The thread must have been caught along it's path or something. You will have to unwind the thread off the stuck bobbin. Once enough thread is off the bobbin it should pull off. After that, throw that bobbin in the trash, it is now deformed and most likely will not work anymore. If you wind your bobbins with the machine threaded always make sure you have your presser foot up and Always use a metal foot.

Tension settings
Tension needs to be balanced with the top and bottom to make the two threads meet between the layers of fabric. Normal bobbin tension is about 21 grams. Upper tension matches this usually 3 to 6.
