We have about 30 electroluminescent backlights for the 8000 still available .These are not original Janome parts. You will need a Janome service person to install then for you as it requires taking apart alot of the machine to get to the display. We can provide instructions if this person is unsure how to fit. Once the display is out, the process is simple. They are AUD$60 each including shipping. Email at [email protected]

Downloading embroidary designs for the Janome MC 350E

What would be a easy way to download designs on a card? I am not real technical, but you should be able to download and open these by using your USB port. There has got to be a less expensive way instead of buying their customizer. Can you help. Thanks, Kay

Firstly, format your compact flash card on your embroidery machine. This is presuming you have embroidery files in your jef format your machine reads on your computer. Place your compact flash in the compact flash card reader writer connected to your computer, open the compact flash card in your computer, open the file emb5. Now you can simply copy and paste a design from your computer to your flash card. It works for me. Goodluck.

i have a janome 9000 what is a scan & sew

what does it do

Scan 'n Sew is hardware used to transfer embroidery designs from your computer to the machine's card so that you can embroider that particular design. I have one and love it. It will send a template to your printer as well as the design to the card. It has other functions that I don't use because I use another program to edit designs (Embird).

Remove the top cover by taking the two large screws and the small one under the handle, LHS.

Remove the left side cover. The hidden screw is a 2.5mm allen accessed through the vent.

Lay the machine on its back and remove the four large phillips screws on the bottom and the small screw for the side, paying extreme caution with respect to the embroidery arm.

CAREFULLY move the bottom to the left and out of the way.

Inside the body of the machine you will see a black box held in place by three or torx/slotted screws. Remove the screws and, as you slowly pull the box out MAKE NOTE OF WHICH WIRES PLUG IN WHERE.

Thanks guys

I remembered the fix!!

On the Janome MC 9000

To calibrate the touch screen

1. Turn off
2. on Sewing arm above needle there are a series of buttons
3. Hold down bottom 3 buttons
4. While holding turn on machine
5. Using scribe
6. Touch the centre of each + as it appears
7. It will go Centre bottom rh centre top lh as you select each + position it moves of it's own accord.
8. Turn off machine
9 Turn on and test.

Important sometimes this does not entirely fix prob!!
Simply do it again "Yahoo""
Some mechanics will try to tell U the screen is on it's way out
Bollocks just calibrate.
Thanks

High Shank Machines are all the Janome Embroidery models MC 8000, MC 9000, 10000, 10001, 11000, 200E, 300E, 350E....etc
If yours is not an embroidery machine, it has a LOW SHANK .....the higher shank allows for easier access for the embroidery hoop

What is the adjustable plus and minus dial in the

What is the adjustable plus and minus dial in the upper part of the machine by the tension spring

Posted by on

Answer

  • Most Helpful of 1 Answers

Most likely the tension adjustment dial. Is this on the front of the machine head or on top above the pressure foot.

If it is close to the tension device then it will be the top thread tension adjustment dial, these are usually numbered from zero to 10. Normal setting 4-5.

If it is a knob directly above the pressure foot, then it will be the adjustment for how much pressure the presser foot applies to the fabric, some machines allow you to adjust this; if you are sewing very light fabric you might need to add a little pressure. Or very heavy coat weights you'd need to slacken it off a little.
