To change the bulb in the Pfaff Tiptronic 2030, you need the bulb remover that was in the original accessory package. Push the bulb remover up into the sewing machine (at the bulb) as far as it will go. Rotate the tool (and the bulb) one-half rotation counter-clockwise. Bring the tool and the bulb down and remove the bulb from the remover tool. To put the new bulb back in, put it into the diagonal holder until the pins engage. Push the bulb up into the lamp holder of sewing machine as far as it will go. Rotate the bulb one-half rotation clockwise. Remove the bulb changer tool. The bulb should remain in the sewing machine. From info I could find, it might have been made in the late 1990's or early 2000's. You can search eBay and other seller sites to see if any have sold and how much they cost. ...

How did it come off? What was holding it on there to begin with? Screws? Glue? If it's a clean break it might be possible to weld it back together.

I suggest turning the tension down to zero and using a crisp dollar bill to try flossing the tension disks. You can also try using un-waxed dental floss to try to floss out the trapped threads.

Check to see if there is something caught up in the foot pedal, like a scrap of fabric. That could be enough to prevent you from fully closing the pedal. Disconnect the pedal from the machine and from the wall. Holding the pedal in your hands, squeeze it closed as far as you can. Release. It should pop open. If it does not, then the pedal springs may be broken or worn out.

I would take the machine to someone else and see what they say.

Disconnect the foot control. Turn the handwheel to see if it will turn over freely. Next, power up the machine and press the 'needle down/up' button a few times.. If that works, things are looking promising and the issue is most likely the foot control. If you are able to try your foot control on another Pfaff. If your foot control is not working, most likely it will be the carbon tracer pins inside the foot control. These can be purchased for a few dollars. Skill level to fit them is moderate..... you may break the pins if you do it incorrectly. Alternatively, get a quote for a repairer to do it. Takes 5 minutes.to do.
