My Simplicity Quilters Classic Model SW240 seems to have lost its mind.

You can try a 'hard reboot' of the software by unplugging the machine while it is turned on, wait about a minute, then plug in and restart the machine. This is a way to make the software do a self-diagnostic check and possibly give you an error code or (best case scenario) cause the machine to start working properly again. If this does not work you probably need an adjustment by a technician.

How do I attach the quilting bar to the walking foot on my Simplicity Quilters Classic? The manual doesn't show how to do it

There should be a hole across the back of the walking foot (penetrates the walking foot usually from right to left, although some feet will have 2 guides--one for left to right, the other left to right) where the bar mounts and a screw to tighten and hold it in place. Quilting Bar Attachment

Runs fine until bobbin winder is engaged, then won't run. as if there is no power.

If the bobbin winder is malfunctioning, for ~$30, you can purchase a stand-alone bobbin winder at JoAnn's or Hancock's fabric stores or online, ie Amazon. At least you will still be able to use your machine even if the bobbin winder on your machine will not work. ...

They all use oil, but on modern home machines that privilege is reserved for the sewing machine repair person. You might look in your bobbin race area for a little wick. 1 drop only.
