The foot pedal needs disassembly and cleaning. Inside there is a wire track that varies the voltage to the electric motor. They get dirty, but yours is also sticking.

Do you have computers at work? You must have friends with a Desktop computer? Give them the disc and a USB memory stick. That is the long way around the problem, but you can download it online from the Singer Website :>D
There is two distinct parts, the treadle part you operate with your feet and the sewing machine itself. They are joined by the belt. Both parts need lubrication with light machine oil. Remove the belt and lubricate the treadle, then test it runs smoothly. Then clean and lubricate the sewing machine making sure that runs smoothly using the handwheel. Then put the belt back on.
I'm not able to find a reference to a feed dog switch for your machine.
Singer Athena 2000 Instructions Manual Page 9
Could possibly be accomplished using a special plate? The instructions do refer to a darning foot, so the machine should be able to deactivate the feed dogs.
Sounds like there might be some thread stuck in the bobbin shuttle area. Refer to the users manual for your machine to see how to disassemble the bobbin shuttle and race to check for thread. It would be a good idea to put a drop or two of sewing machine oil on it while you have it apart.
If your Singer model 600e's bobbin case is stuck, try the following steps to remove it:
Turn off the sewing machine and unplug it from the power source.
Raise the presser foot and the needle to the highest position.
Open the bobbin cover and remove the bobbin from the bobbin case.
Locate the lever or button that releases the bobbin case from the hook race. Depending on the model of your Singer sewing machine, this may be a lever, a button, or a latch.
Use your finger or a small screwdriver to press or move the lever, button, or latch to release the bobbin case from the hook race.
Gently pull the bobbin case out of the machine.
If the bobbin case is still stuck, do not force it. Instead, seek assistance from a trained sewing machine technician or contact Singer customer support for further advice.
Do you mean a Singer Futura Quartet SEQS-6000? If so, the sewing machine can't communicate with the Chrome OS. The drivers and software on the CD are only compatible with Windows. The initial software package was compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. See the specifications section at https://www.singer.com/Futura-SEQS-6000-Embroidery-Machine and https://www.futura-support.com/products/seqs-6000 . There is a software update available for Windows 10.
I hope this helps.

If your Singer Heavy Duty 4423 is jamming when you try to sew in reverse, it may be due to a few issues:
Thread tension: Make sure your thread tension is not too tight, which can cause the thread to bunch up and jam the machine. Try loosening the tension slightly.
Needle: Make sure you are using the correct needle for the fabric you are sewing. A dull or damaged needle can cause the machine to jam.
Bobbin: Check your bobbin to make sure it is threaded correctly and is not damaged.
Machine maintenance: It's important to keep your machine clean and well-oiled. A buildup of lint or dirt can cause the machine to jam.
Sewing speed: Slow down when sewing in reverse. Sometimes going too fast in reverse can cause the machine to jam.
If none of these solutions work, it may be a mechanical issue with the machine and it's best to take it to a professional for repair
If the pink part that catches the needle's thread (the shuttle hook) has stopped turning, it may be due to several reasons. Here are a few things you can try:
Check the bobbin case: Make sure that the bobbin case is correctly installed in the shuttle race and that it is not damaged or dirty. If the bobbin case is not correctly installed, it can prevent the shuttle hook from turning.
Check the needle: Ensure that the needle is properly installed and not damaged or bent. If the needle is damaged or bent, it may not be picking up the thread properly.
Clean the machine: If the machine is dirty or has lint buildup, it can affect the movement of the shuttle hook. Clean the machine and oil it according to the instructions in the manual.
Check the shuttle hook: If the shuttle hook is damaged, it may need to be replaced. Check for any signs of damage, such as chips or cracks.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to take the machine to a professional for repair.
If you can't move the stitch width wheel on your Singer 534, there are a few things you can check:
Make sure the machine is threaded correctly: Sometimes, if the machine is not threaded correctly, the wheel can become jammed. Double-check that the machine is threaded correctly and that the thread is not caught on anything.
Check for thread or debris around the wheel: Sometimes, thread or other debris can get caught around the stitch width wheel, preventing it from turning. Check the area around the wheel and remove any obstructions.
Apply some lubricant: If the wheel is still difficult to turn, try applying some sewing machine oil or lubricant to the area around the wheel. This can help loosen up any stuck parts.
If none of these solutions work, it may be time to take your machine in for service. A professional technician can diagnose and repair any issues with the machine.
To remove the case of a Singer 5532 sewing machine to access areas that need oiling, follow these steps:
Unplug the machine from the electrical outlet to prevent any accidents.
Remove the presser foot and needle from the machine.
Remove the bobbin case and the bobbin.
Turn the machine over and remove the four screws on the bottom of the machine.
Turn the machine back over and gently remove the top cover.
Remove the screws that hold the front cover in place and remove the front cover.
Remove the screws that hold the side cover in place and remove the side cover.
You should now be able to access the areas of the machine that need oiling.
When you are finished oiling the machine, reassemble the machine in the reverse order that you took it apart. Make sure that all screws are tightened securely and that all covers are properly seated before plugging the machine back in and turning it on.
To replace the light bulb on your Singer sewing machine model 9618, please follow these steps:
Turn off the sewing machine and unplug it from the power source.
Locate the light bulb cover on the left side of the sewing machine, just above the needle.
Use a small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry the cover off.
Remove the old bulb by gently pulling it out of the socket.
Insert the new bulb into the socket, making sure it is securely in place.
Replace the cover by aligning it with the slot and gently pressing it back into place.
Note: Make sure to use a light bulb that is compatible with your sewing machine's voltage and wattage specifications. You can find this information in your sewing machine's manual or on the light bulb itself.
Your sewing machine tension is incorrect. Tension is a delicate tug of war between the upper thread and the bobbin tension to place the knot loop in the centre of the two pieces of cloth.
Sewing machine tension is how tight the threads are pulled as you sew. The tighter your thread (or the higher your tension), the tighter your stitches. With proper tension, your sewing machine needle moves up and down, the bobbin thread is pulled up, and you get nice, neat, even stitches.
