READ EVERYTHING, BEFORE DOING ANYTHING! IF you are uncomfortable with any of this, GET SOME HELP!
If you know how to backup your routers' settings, do that FIRST.
If there is a reset hole on the router (check back bottom & sides) and use a round toothpick to reset the router back to factory specs. DO NOT PUSH THE TOOTHPICK IN TOO HARD.
After the reset completes, you can login to the router and set it back to what you wish. If you changed the password from the original to something specific (GOOD IDEA), you will need to do it again (Or you can just re-import the previous setup, that you backed up). Otherwise check the page of your internet provider, or manufacturer of the router itself.
1. First, have your SGTab forget your network, and reboot it (shutting it down would be better, but some folks don't like to be unplugged for this length of time). DO NOT reconnect it now.
2. Reset the router from a computer using an Ethernet connection (A Wire, basically!) and NOT a wireless device.
3. After you have reset the router, then re-try to connect your device to the network.
Guidelines;
Make sure you WRITE DOWN the name of your network, and the password, as well as the type of security your setup is using; Either WPA-PSK or WPA-PSK2. It may or may not matter, but it's better to be sure.
These are to be understood as general guidelines, as you did not include the type and model of router &/or modem you are using. Remember, MORE information leads to better answers.
Hope this helps you with your problem.
If not, then your may need to replace the router, especially if that device will stay connected to almost all other networks you usually use.
