Nikon Coolpix S9400 Questions & Answers
Nikon Coolpix S9400 - the monitor has gone blank, although camera is not "dead".
The Display is OLED and when it is off it is really OFF.
FYI:
This camera has FIVE (5) Brightness levels for the display. The Brightness is usually set in the TOOL (wrench) menu.
If you are positive the batteries are good, fresh and or fully charged it is MY OPINION that the camera is non functional. The Viewfinder is critical for camera operation. Sorry I am not much help here it seems this camera needs either repair or replacement.
Out of memory message after 3 photos on new memory card
Hi Bob,
Your camera has two memories. It has a 23 Mb internal memory in addition to the SD add-on memory. If you look on page 30 of the Reference Section of your camera's manual Number of Exposures Remaining table (link below), you will see that when set at the highest resolution, your camera will only allow three exposures in the 23 Mb memory. I would go into your camera's menu and make sure that you have set it to use the SD card instead of the internal memory. You may also want to take lower resolution pictures to increase the number of pictures you can fit in memory. Also, make sure that once you do that, you reformat your SD card in the camera, not on the computer.

My Nikon b500 Coolpix won't turn on just flashes green
It flashes green when it is basically on but in a sub mode that I'll call CHARGE MODE. If it is flashing that means the battery is charging. I suggest to let it continue to charge until it stops flashing and then remove the charger connection. When the camera is sitting all by itself with nothing connected you can then turn it on.
