this is an error for the transfer belt there is a mark or the belt has been damaged if you open up th efront cover and then look at the brown panel there are two screws either end that nee to be loosened then lift this up next there is two screws on the transfer unit that run diagonally acros the inside of the machine and a third screw on the black unit (duplex) unit this needs to be taken out.. once you have done this there is a green lever in the top left hand side of the transfer unit this needs to be turned to the left to release the roller take the black duplex unit out by sliding it to the fron then the treansfer unit can be pulled gently out.. it is on two runners so it wont fall off you can hten look at the condition of the belt. if it seems ok look on the edges of the belt by gently turning the gear at the back this will feed the belt around.. if it seems ok put it all back in and then put the srews back in close it up and turn on the machine.. wait for it to warm up.. press the yellow clear/cancel button at the top above the number pad then enter 107 then hold down the cnacel/stop button, hold this down till the screen changes.. turn off the machine and bcak on again.. if the reset has worked the machine should run up and be able to copy and print.. if not you will have to do the same proceedure of clear/cancel button routine and once the screen changes select copy sp then go to section 5.mode then scroll down to 810 sc reset. execute and turn off the machine.. wait 5 secs turn on and test again.. if the error code keeps coming back the B.I.C.U Board may be defective and need to be replaced. check the transfer unit condition of the rollers under the plastic clear image belt also.. CTRL - ALT - DELETE should show it in Tasks. Delete it from there. Reboot computer and Copier, try again. You may need to reinstall software and drivers.

Download Twain Driver from ricoh site and you can use any softwere that suports twain scaning i use microsoft scan that comes with office 2003

We are assuming that you are talking about Error Code SC 221
This code is a Scan length detection problem.
1.Disconnected Sychronization Detector
2.Bad LD-Unit/BICU Board

SOLUTION: Replace the Laser Diode & Laser Sync detect board

You have to go into service mode.

you need to adjust the lead edge trim press yellow C and 107 and press and hold red C button then go to copy SP select 2 drum then look for trim adjust and then select front then change values up and down until you get the correct registration. you can do a test copy while on SP mode by pressing copy window.

there may b ur optics dirty
or the cleaning blade faulty to clarify the problem just take out a print of counter if line occurs then ur cleaning blade faulty if counter is clear then claen the optics or scanner mirrors

Have you just bought this 2nd hand? if its flashing in the bottom left corner? can you still print to it?

SC822 is a hard drive error. that machine has 2 installed and should be replaced as a pair. it's hard to determin which one has failed.

check your copier sensors that read toner density in your aficio 1232C
