Why are pages scanning with lines running through them, but printing perfectly fine?

Try cleaning the rollers. Usually you have to remove the cartridge to get to the rollers that moves the paper.

Refilled 940 Cartridege At Costco

Everyone listen!!!The HP 940 style cartridges have an inherent design issue that they collect air inside the black rubber pump. When enough air gets inside the black rubber cartridge pump they get soft/spongy - they must be firm (try pressing on it). The printer presses on the cartridge pump with a foot (gray plastic pad back inside the cartridge compartment) when it wants more ink to the printhead. If it presses and doesn\'t feel enough electrical resistance it thinks the cartridge is empty and errors "empty". When a cartridge is truly empty, the black rubber pump will **** up inside itself, thus the foot does not feel any resistance. The only way to fix this is by occasionally remove the excess air from the cartridge pump. We recommend the AdaptiveInk Cartridge and Printhead Re-priming Kit. Yes, the Printheads also have an inherent design issue where they collect the air that is pushed from the cartridges. Excess air inside the printhead is what causes the majority of print quality issues you have when printing and this kit resolves this issue very well.

I am using a mac

Have you setup the the printer to find for wireless and you also then must setup the "Mac" for wireless.

The printer will then seek wireless products and log in. Its fairly simple, I had a similar problem the mistake was setting up the printer to seek other wireless products
