My laptop is connected to
How are you connected to the internet? Sometimes when you're connected to the internet via wifi, the icon can show that you have a strong signal and that you're connected when you actually aren't. Optimum wifi does this often. Turn off your wifi, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
My laptop wont turn on
When was the last time it turned on? Did anything happen to it that it stopped working? Do you have the laptop charging or charged? Please attempt to provide some information. We don't judge you if you did something, so don't try and tell us it broke in some way that isn't true, we won't be able to help you then.
I cant flash the bios
F12 as soon as you see the dell/hp/gateway screenIf that doesn't work your computer may not be picking up the drivers for the keyboard fast enough

its time to take the computer to a friend who can copy the hard drive and reformat you computer and reinstall operating systems back on it. or if you have nothing on the computer you are worried about loosing get the disks that came with it and first reinstall operating systems thats windows or mac. and then after your done install the drivers for it . hope this helps
Monitor won't go on
What to you mean by Monitor won't go on? Are you saying the power on
the monitor will not turn on? Are you saying the Monitor is on, but
there is nothing showing on the screen? Also it would help if we know
what kind of computer and what operating system.
I have a brand new
I don't recomend purchasing an HP to anyone because this is all too common. My father in law purchased a 17" HP Pavilion and opened it for the first time from the corner instead of the middle and the LCD cracked and broke. He didn't purchase a warantee with it and the cost of the LCD and Labor would have been half of what he originally bought it for.
Did you purchase a warantee with it? According to HP's website they have a limited warantee. This is an excerpt:
HP guarantees that the HP Hardware Products that you have purchased or leased
from HP are free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use
during the Limited Warranty Period. The Limited Warranty Period starts on the
date of purchase or lease from HP. Your dated sales or delivery receipt, showing
the date of purchase or lease of the product, is your proof of the purchase or
lease date. You may be required to provide proof of purchase or lease as a
condition of receiving warranty service. You are entitled to hardware warranty
service according to the terms and conditions of this document if a repair to
your HP Hardware Product is required within the Limited Warranty Period.
During the Limited Warranty Period, HP will, at its discretion, repair or
replace any defective component. All component parts or hardware products
removed under this Limited Warranty become the property of HP. In the unlikely
event that your HP Hardware Product has recurring failures, HP, at its sole
discretion, may elect to provide you with (a) a replacement unit of HP's
choosing that is the same or equivalent to your HP Hardware Product in
performance or (b) to give you a refund of your purchase price or lease payments
(less interest) instead of a replacement. This is your exclusive remedy for
defective products.
It is mandatory that the unit product number and serial number be made
available when requesting a warranty service event. Failure to do so may result
in the event being deemed out of warranty by HP or, HP's Authorised Service
Providers, and therefore chargeable to the requester.
I would return it and get a different one anyway. You should be able to use the reciept as the proof of purchase.
A hard disk problem can happen with any new computer from any company, sometimes they slip through the cracks.
As a recomendation I would add that you'll get a better bang for your buck if you were to purchase a Dell (warantee is better and more inclusive) or even a Macintosh. For my father in law, he bought a Macbook (laptop) and installed bootcamp which allowed him to install the Windows 7 operating system and now he only runs Windows 7. It works really well for him.

Try plugging in a keyboard to see if the problem persists, if not then it's your keyboard, if so then it could be an issue with your operating system. Contact HP to see if there was a recall on any parts for your laptop.
