Sylvania7'netbook

If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on you wireless connection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptop probably did not get an IP address from the wireless router. To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and then click Repair. This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless card on the laptop.

I cant play fifa 09 on my acer aspire one 522, is it with the resolution? how can I fix this?

Your processor is the problem : It's a dual core 1GHz AMD C-Series processor C-50 and even though it might barely be able to run the game, the game was made before the processor type was released, and thus the game doesn't know what the heck it is and only sees that its a 1GHz CPU and thus considers it to slow to run the game. Here are the system requirements:Operating Systems: Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista - CPU: 2.4 GHz - RAM: 512 Megabytes of RAM (1 GB required for Windows Vista) - DirectX 9.0c Compatible 3D accelerated 128 MB video card or equivalent (must support Shader Model 2.0 or above) - DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card 512kbit/s or greater broadband connection for online gameplay - 6.1 GB free hard disk space for DVD format and additional space required for DirectX 9.0c installation - 8x or faster DVD-ROM drive

2008 modelN214. iam connected to the web but cannot get internet explorer search page or any other wireless connect server

Try the steps below:Let's start with Internet Options. If you have Windows XPClick Start/Control Panel/Internet Options. If you have Windows Vista orWindows 7 click Start/Control Panel/Network and Internet/Internet Options. When the Internet Options window opens on the General Tab make sure you have avalid web address as the Home Page. If not, create a simple Home Page bytyping: http://www.google.com You don't have to click OK now because if you dothe Internet Options window will close. Click the Security Tab and under where it says "select a zone to view orchange settings" Click on the one that says Internet, then scroll down tonear the bottom right and make sure that DEFAULT is grayed out (whereas youcannot click on it). You can Click on Default just to be sure. Next click theIntranet so that it is highlighted and make sure DEFAULT is grayed out so thatyou cannot click on it. Do the same thing for the other two zones (TrustedSites and Restricted Sites). After all zones under the Security Tab are set toDefault click the next Tab which is the Privacy tab.On the Privacy Tab you want to make sure that DEFAULT is grayed out, if notclick on it. When in doubt just click the Default tab. Next skip over the Content tab and proceed to click the Connections Tab. On theConnections Tab make sure that the Never Dial A Connection is checked if youhave something in the white box above it in for Dialup and Virtual PrivateNetworks settings. Look down on the right near the bottom and Click the LANSETTINGS button. When Lan Settings open up the only box that should be checkedis the very first box that says: Automatically Detect Settings. If any otherbox is checked remove the check from it or you will never be able to connect.Click OK to close the LAN SETTINGS tab.Next skip over the Programs tab and click the Advanced tab. When it opens slidethe blue bar on the right all the way down until you get to the bottom of thewindow. You want to be able to make sure that if you see something like (UseSSL 2.0, Use SSL 3.0, Use TSL 1.0) that you put a check in the box to the leftof each one of them. Afterwards you can click OK to close the Internet OptionsWindow.Next lets go boot your computer in Safe Mode.Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"Download cnetMalwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download andinstall malwarebytes fromthe sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When thesite opens up click on the GreenDownload button on the left. Do notclick the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the GuiInterface will open up with an offer toAccept a Trial Version orDecline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally freeversion. Run aQUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number willbe in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text documentwill open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and goback to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. Theobjects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objectsclick ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.... Let me know if all this works out for you.

In other words, when are you asked for a password? If you see your username and when you click on it you are asked for a password, you can remove it by going to the control panel under "users" and change the properties of that user to remove the password.

Hi, my acer is not working , everytime I turn it

Not the 'brain' at fault; your hard drive is corrupted or dead. That is where the operating system is found. You might try reinstalling your operating system but that will is also unlikely to be successful if the drive cannot be accessed.

Laptop can't power on without

Try this. With the battery removed.
  • Plug in the AC.
  • Will pressing the power button repeatedly gently wiggle the AC adapter
If it powers on briefly then your DC jack inside the computer will need to be replaced or re-soldered.
If if doesn't power on at all get or borrow a multi-meter and set it for 20+V. With the AC adapter plugged into the wall and unplugged from the PC touch one probe to the outer metal on the part that plugs into the laptop and one probe down the center of the plug. If the probe doesn't go in all the way stick a paper clip down the center (dont let it touch the outer metal) and touch the probe to that. Ignore if the voltage reading is negative or not this just means the probes are reversed and doesn't matter really if you get a reading +-1 volt from what is listed on the AC brick. If you get nothing or it is very low then the AC adapter needs to be replaced.
If the AC is fine. Then it could be the fuse on the motherboard. In that event easiest route would be to replace the motherboard (don't think you can buy the fuses)
Comment back if you need more assistance.
