My laptop is not loading

I would contact www.toshiba.com amd speak to the technical department, they are very helpfull. It may be a RAM fault or a hard drive fault but as you have data on the drive, I don't want it to go pear shaped and for you to lose any data.
Hope that helps.

Hello.

From your description, sounds like a hard drive error: problem with recovery, hard drive message.

So, I'd recommend a replacement hard drive.

Hope this helps.

Mouse does not nove. Device manager shows no mouse

Go into the BIOS. When you first turn on the laptop there will be an option to go into the BIOS. Should be like F1, F2, something like that.

After you go into the BIOS go ahead and reset the BIOS to factory defaults, it will tell you what key to press to do that. After that let the laptop go back into windows. Check the device manager and see if the mouse shows up. If it doesn't then that means the ribbon cable for the mouse pad might be loose underneath it where it connects to the motherboard.

If you can get to that then take it out and the reseat it. If you go thru my steps and you notice that the mouse is recognized but not moving. Hold down the Fn key and then as your doing that press the key that has the mouse icon on it, that should get the mouse cursor to move.
