Every 2 stroke I've ever worked on, the float is set parallel to the bottom of the carburetor. Turn the carb upside down and look to see if the float is even with the bottom of the carb.

This may sound funny, but for a while, Yamaha put a steel bolt in the aluminum casing on the side of the motor. dissimilar metals caused extreme corrosion inside that affected operation. Check out Boating forums on Yamaha.

Hey Alex, No, I would get a new bulb..check for leaks in the fuel system.

Hello Bill, have you replaces the spark plugs? Do this first. If it still backfires/misses.. have the carb cleaned and set by a competent professional.. if it still does this, remove the flywheel and see if one of the magnets has broken or come loose...(my own experience!)

No Jason.. relax.. I do need more info.. where is the gas? If its accumulated in the bottom of the shroud.. you probably have non-sealing needle and seats..if its filled the crankcase = the same issue. take it to a competent professional and have them clean and set the carbs.. and check the needle/seat assembly in all the carbs. They are what regulates the flow of gas into the carbs... when they do not close... the gas has to go somewhere.. and its never good...

Never buy a trailer with the same capacity as the weight of your boat! This can be very dangerous! Instead, make sure the trailer's capacity is at least twice that of the weight of the boat, all your gear, and the boat's motor.

Small yachts, also known as Silboats or Cabin Cruisers are 20-40 feet. There are of course larger Yachts that can get to over 100 feet, also known as Mega Yachts.

I would clean the fuel filters and empty the water retainer filter then do some testing.
