I had the same problem. It has nothing to do with power supply board. Its the switch assembly board on the side of the set. Once I disconnected the board everything was fine including the remote fuctions.

These lines came on to the tv LCD screen panel by itself?Yes,than the board that call the T-CON board it is dying to causes this problems,if these black lines problems causes by u or an object by hitting it to the tv LCD screen panel itself,it can't be repair,the tv LCD screen panel itself it is dead and leaking radiations.This T-CON board sit in the middle at the bottom of the tv LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-CON board for the replacement.

Take the tv aparts,check the tv whole power supply board,that the board where the power a/c cord plug into it.Check the whole tv power supply board carefully for dying capacitors parts.These capacitors parts are alway bulges up or puffing up on to it tops.U have all the tools also know basic electronic also soldering work too.Replaced all those dying capacitors parts are bulging up or puffing up onto it tops.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I have found that Home Depot and Lowe's (the bigger hardware stores) do not carry something like this. I alway got to my Local ACE Hardware where they have a whole isle with nothing but screws, nuts, bolts and fasteners. I always find what I am looking for there. So if you have a little hardware store in your area then I suggest trying them. It is alittle more expensive than the bigger guys but always worth it cause you can buy one, Two or 100.

go into analogue tv press menu move down to settings you should be able to enter plug and play in menu press ok( if you can not enter it you are not in analogue )
if not solve problem try this !! warning !!

you will enter the service menu DONT ENTER OR CHANGE ANY OTHER ITEMS THAT ARE DISPLAYED AS TV WILL NOT WORK IF YOU DO

With tv in standby press INFO / MENU / MUTE / STANDBY on remote

then use ONLY DOWN nav-key move to number 12 FACTORY RESET
press RIGHT nav-key will reset all tv settings to factory ones

PRESS STANDBY TO EXIT on remote
you will have to RETUNE after tv after

Hello, The LCD screen is going bad. The green spots are where the LCD junction is not being activated by the voltage. This usually happens when the screen is begining to malfunction. The problem is the LCD panel went bad, it can't be repaired, you have to replace it.

Caps can fail with no outward signs. It takes a special meter to test them. Your set may have a back light inverter that powers the back lights. When it fails, the picture cant be seen, but you have sound, to check this look for a picture on the screen using a flashlight
