Samsung PN50A400 50 in. HDTV Plasma TV Questions & Answers
TV turns on/off automatically at 1-2 mins intervals.
Replace the power supply, PN: BN44-00206A
It's easy to
locate, but requires adjustments once it is installed. Panel voltages
must be adjusted according the the specifications of the TV. There is
a sticker on the back of the plasma panel which provides each voltage
setting. You can reference this sticker to make the proper
adjustment. Using a DMM, connected between chassis ground and the
panel voltage you are adjusting, turn the adjustments on the power
supply very slowly, until you are measuring the specified voltage
within 0.5v. I hope this helps and good luck.
The TV works but the screen is completely blank. What do I do to fix this?
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.
Samsung plasma TV PN63A650 will not turn on, just makes continuous clicking.
the capacitors seem to have gone bad if they have like a black dot on them it is a sign they have actually blown they can be replaced by placing new ones on but it would be better if the board was replaced (unless you wish to replace those capacitors please please do be careful in doing so they hold enough charge to give you a bad zap even kill if one isnt careful)

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. ..
