What coolant to use in a Polaris xlt sp 600 1996 sled.

I have no personal experience but if it has been completely drained I would suggest using the most environmentally friendly type you can find, possibly the propylene glycol rather than the highly poisonous ethylene glycol. Just my thoughts...

What would cause the elbow and manifold to get red hot in minutes on my 2004 Ski-doo elite under normal driving conditions? Could it have blockage in the muffler?

Blocked muffler will cause extreme reduction in power. When you say red hot, do you mean it glows red or it is very hot and you will burn your hand on it? The latter is normal, you cannot touch an exhaust system within a minute of running. Cherry red sounds abnormal. Engines putting out maximum power can have glowing manifolds but not average power. Make sure the timing is correct and do not use gasoline with an octane rating that is too high. Higher octane fuel burns slower. If it is still burning when the exhaust valve opens, it will continue to burn in the manifold. Use the gasoline recommended in the owners manual.

200 2002 ski doo 700 fill left crank case with 2 stroke oil so bad that when we started it bent A rod P

Oil does not go directly into the Crank, I am afraid you have (Dirty Carb) or Low Compression. What it sounds like is you HYDRO LOCKED your CYLINDER (not completely) and when you started it, it can not compress a liquid and BAM,,..,, Time for a new engine

How do I adjust the oil mixture on my 1997 ski doo 583 grand touring snowmobile

The Oil Injection runs off a Pump on the Bottom of the engine and if I remember correctly... There is a Cable that runs off the Throttle and you can adjust it there. I have always been a fan of adding Oil to the Fuel Directly. I have replaced way too many engines due to Oil Starvation so as an added precaution, I still pre-mix my Fuel/Oil but the Ratio is not a complete 40-50/1. More like a 100-125/1. Do I ever foul out a plug? I DO... have I ever Oil Starved an Engine... NEVER... 2 Spark Plugs last me an entire season but I replace them at the Beginning of the season.... I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND cleaning the Hose that comes from the tank....

Time to rebuild most likely cooked internals but its easy just take your time disassembling to remember the assembly and a friend at a machine shop helps or a hone or equivalent

First make sure you have brake pads left! If you do you may need to bleed the caliper or have the brake assembly onthe handle bar cleaned. Very common problem.

Spark plugs wet

It is possible to flood the crankcase on a 2 stroke engine this will cause the plugs to saturate and the engine will not start. disconnect the fuel lines, remove the plugs, have a fire extinguisher close by attach the plugs to the caps and place them in the plug hole but do not screw then in, crank it over live and if the base is flooded the engine will spit fire from the plug holes do it until the engine is dry and then attempt to start it without the fuel lines connected and let it run until it stops. Reconnect the lines and see if it runs. If the float bowl has a bad float it will not shut off fuel to the bowl and flood the engine everytime.

I have a 2001 ski doo formula 380. It has little or no power.

Is it running on both cylinders or just one, if it's out on one cylinder, clean the carbs and replace the plugs and wires, wires are already bad on my 2009 gtx 550, so I just taped them with electrical tape as a temporary measure.

2004 600 sdi ski-doo missing at 4500 rpm

have you checked the plugs? they could be fouled or a build up of carbon. have you checked or rebuilt the carb, if so did you change the fuel lines they could be cracked and sucking air.
