remove all sparkplugs and hold full throttle and crank over several times to get water out of cylinders ! have a jump pack ready as battery will die ! use carb cleaner on the plugs each time you try to run after this , hope this has only just happened as internal damage might already started ! if all ok check the engine oil also as water normally gets in after this problem ! if oil is milky then change oil several times , run for 15min on hose each change until oil normal colour ! then you must take for a run for an hour to help dry it out !

Nothing personal... but if you can't find the carburetors you DO NOT need to work on this unit!!!

The carburetors are in desperate need of some PROFESSIONAL attention. They all stop up after sitting for that long.

Water pump.

Many possibilities. Depends on your steering system: cable or hydraulic. Could be low hydraulic fluid or broken cable, damaged gear in steering column and more. If you not familiar with that systems then take it to your mechanic.

Look for a plate on the shaft. If not call west marine

Must be some obstruction in there. Probably just before the water pump of just after.

The friction nut probably needs to be tightened up or something is missing from that. Two things depreciate faster than a car and they are boats and rvs. A vintage yamaha is a nice term for older yamaha. I will be worth what someone wants to pay for it. That said, if parts are still available and it runs well, no work needed, you may get $1000 to $2000 for it. But that depends on the area you are in and what other used ones are going for. All you can do is offer to sell it for some amount of money and see if anyone calls. Lower the price if no takers.

Most likely, (1) it's an old worn out battery, low charge, poor or corroded cable connections. Inspect and clean them. You may want to jumper battery with your car battery. If problem persists, (2) check starter solenoid connections and output connections. (3) As a last culprit, it could be a bad starter. And make sure your engine is not frozen. (Take spark plugs out and turn the flywheel by hand).

I believe the P65 is a small engine with 3.5 hp.
