Hi, they have two spline connected drive shafts between the motor and impellor, these splines will be worn and stripped. Both shafts will need to be replaced. Regards Phil.

check wire connections are clean and check the oil sencer !

The only other thing is air. I am not familiar with your engine but it sounds like it's not getting air. If you pull the plug after trying to start it is the plug wet?

2 ways... either cut it or remove elec box and disconnect it.

Usually on a boat the air intake system blocks water from entering the engine. On a waver unmet there is always water in the bilge splashing around inside the motor compartment. Not good for it to be sucked into the intake. Water injestion will destroy the motor faster than you think.

remove coil caps and use a socket !

a click when you press the start button is normally the solinoide or connections !

One and a half to one and three quater turns

have you left the choke open ? this mixes more fuel to the engine upon starting but will stall it if left open too long . check your fuel filter too it may be full of debris.

which model ?

check fuel pump diaphrams are soft and not bendy as they harden with age !

clean the carb/s as the jets etc sound like they are blocked !

does it turn or can you hear a click as you try ? if its not turning check the starter brushes and if it clicks then replace solinoide !

i recomend replacing the solinoide !!!

Rings! Don't know if this is 2 cycle or 4 cycle engine.If it is a 4 cycle engine you shouldn't have crankcase oil on the spark plugs.If it doesn't turn over,how is oil getting on the spark plugs? At any rate,I'd check for cracked ring or rings.

ask the dealer as i have no idea and i would imagine that its like a lot of modern cars its a dealer only job to make more work for them with fancy electronic controls thats using encrypted software

clean the carbs and check carb and pump diaphrams not hard ! balance b4 you refit !
