In order for the oven to work air must circulate. You may have noticed the door seal does not meet at the bottom. Air enters there and exits the chimney located in the console area. Hot air meets cooler surfaces equals condensation. Some foods have more moisture than others. Eric
Hello & Welcome to FixYa F0 error code is displayed when the clock assembly/electronic range control (ERC) goes bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions. Kevin
Hello & Welcome to FixYa Error code F1 is displayed due to electronic oven control failure and the only way to solve this problem is by replacing the control board which is bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions. Kevin
Remove the back panel to the range and check the wires coming from the oven temperature sensor to the control board. Check and make sure the connector is secure, you can also bypass the connector plug by cutting off the connectors and joining the wires directly. If directly joining the wires doesn't solve the f1 code error, then you may have to replace the control board.
Disconnect power to stove
Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
Turn power back on to stove.
Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad. NOTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock as one part.
We're having a similar problem with our 2001 Spectra: the model and serial numbers are on a sticker on the front of the left-hand side of the drawer below the oven.
Switch off the unit. Unplug all the connections from/to it
and let it without power for more than ten minutes. Now put the power plug to
other power socket and check if it still trips the breaker. If not then the
power socket itself has been sorted. If yes, then the heating element has gone
bad and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further
assistance.
You can remove the rear panel and look for a loose wire on the control panel. If you don't see a loose wire, you will need to replace the panel. What is the model number that is displayed on the range?
