Hampton Bay 04345 Cruiser Ceiling Fan Questions & Answers
Crusier Ceiling Fan Not enough light
You can use another light kit, but it wouldn't be recommended. The wiring inside your fan is designed for that specific wiring kit, another kit and there could be major problems with the wiring. Better to just replace the fan or use a couple of lamps.
Broken glass cover. i need a replacement and can't find it anywhere
I'd love to think that Home Depot would be able to help you but it seems they have no memory of this awesome ceiling fan. I bought it for my first house and wish I could even find a photo of it now. If memory serves it had a somewhat shallow globe, similar to many of the Hampton Bay fans. My suggestion would be to carefully measure the diameter you need, understanding that it stays in place by means of the insertion screws. Then find a replacement that fits among Hampton Bays current offerings. I'm certain it's possible. Such a shame they no longer sell this extremely cool looking and enormous fan. Cheers.

I don't know what your saying here but that's a cheap fan from Home Depot.
How to install Hampton bay fan #CF 004-52 on a slanted ceiling
Hi,I'm an electrician and can help you with your question. Most (if not all ceiling fans) are designed to hang from most ceilings - flat or angled. This is done through the use of a molded plastic ball secured to the downrod of the fan assembly, that will allow the fan to "self-level" in the hangerA special "hoop like" hanger is secured to the fan rated electrical box that allows the fan to hang straight down - providing that your ceiling isn't at a real freakish angle - all by itself. The only other thing to watch for is the blades. This is especially true if the new fan has larger blades or a shorter downrod than the old fan. Make sure that the fan blades will clear the ceiling (and enything else for that matter) when running. Otherwise, you will need to use a longer downrod to allow the fan to hang a little lower. Make sure it is not too low to prevent it from striking people walking below it.Review the installation manual and check out the support "hoop" for the electrical box and the downrod with the plastic ball on the end (may require assembly of the ball to the downrod). You can install the support hoop and hang the downrod to make sure you understand how it works without assembling the rest of the fan.If you have any problems, you should contact Home Depot (Hampton Bay is a Home Depot house brand) for support.Good luck!
Do I need to oil
No the bearings are sealed, and not designed to lubricate. They can go bad, and if they do it is possible to remove the seals and re-oil/grease them. Sometimes this helps a little but not always. If you try to lubricate them without disassembling the fan, pulling the bearings, remove the seals, most likely whatever you try and squirt in their will just attract dirts and make things worse. getting to the bearings, usually means taking things apart that were not meant to come apart. So, the short answer is usually if they go bad the fan is shot. Hope this helps. If you need further assistance post a reply in the comments, and don't hesitate to leave good thumb rating if you found this helpful. Thanks, and good Luck!

well what you do is: find the circuit breaker to the lights that control the particular fan and shut it off! then at the ceiling if your fan is hanging by a rod then you can unscrew the 4 screws at the base of the fan and let the base drop to the fan and you should see the wires blue red or black and white there the black wire that is connected to the small wires from the fan goes down to you switch. I hope this helps you.
For caution: make sure to turn off the breaker so you do not shock yourself.
We have a couple of Hampton Bay ceiling fans. In
It could be one of two thing, the most difficult would be if the socket needs to be replaced, but not likely if the fans are on the newer side. The most likely problem is a little metal flap in the socket that tip of the light bulb connects with when you screw it in. To fix this turn off the power the get a straight edge screwdriver and pry that piece of metal back up. If none of this works I would check all wire connections in your fan to make sure they're tight.
How to change a light bulb
Hello,
At the top of the globe there will be three small screws. Turn them counterclockwise out while holding onto theglobe so that it does not drop. Turn each screw just a few turns unitl the globe slides down and out. Replace the light bulb and then reverse the procedure to replace the globe...
