What are the chances my 7101 will still work after sitting in 16 inches of water for 6 hours? Leery of plugging it in.

Wash it thoroughly, open the electrical boxes and wash them with pressurized water to wash away the silts. Dry it with a hair dryer set on low heat. Don't get the things too hot to melt anything. When dry, close the electrical compartments. Let the radiator sit for about 5 days. Putting it under the sun will help for the first day. Try it after 5 to 7 days. It usually works just fine.

Need wiring for on-off switch

Hi Joe. Typically the switch interrupts the hot wire, which is black. Therefore, two black wires are connected to the two screws on the switch. Look in the area where you see the one black wire and you should find a second black wire. Connect each of the to the switch and you will be switching [controlling] the hot [black] wire.

How do you know when the lakewood 7101 needs more

Your heater is sealed and never needs any more oil than already is there. In the unlikely event when the oil leaks out - replace the whole heater.
