Had cleaned GE oven yesterday using SELF CLEAN and today my oven will not work as it keeps flashing UNLOCK DOOR when the door is already open. Cant use the oven

There is a sensor/switch that sends a signal that the oven door is locked and that it is unlocked, it must be defective.

I recently ran the self-clean option on my GE Profile JK955B0F5BB. Now when I set the touch pad to 350 degrees or more, the oven heats up to beyond 500.

That is not a valid model number, the issue is most likely the thermostat has failed. The part is about 12 dollars.

I have a GEsingle oven the top burners work but the oven nor control panels work is there a reset button

I don't know. Sounds like an electronic control panel issue/fault. Here's GE's FAQ site. http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/faq-ranges-ovens.htm

What does coded F10 mean on my GE wall oven

This is likely a failed temperature sensor. The sensor is easy to replace but its behind the oven so you have to pull the oven out of the wall which isn't easy. This seems to happen when we use the self cleaning feature, its happened to us twice, havent used self clean since the second time we fixed it and its never happened again.

No you will need to replace the entire control panel to correct this, it is all one piece, buttons and board.

Hello. The time keeps flashing on and off on my GE profile oven. No buttons work. I've tried unplugging it and resetting the breaker. Time still flashes on and off.

Depending on how handy you are, there is something you can try. Unplug the unit, remove user interface/control board and look for a ribbon connector. It will be on the side of the control board and loop around to the user interface. Disconnect the ribbon cable from the control board and use your fingers to tightly rub the ends of it to make sure there is no corrosion or anything on it. Put it all back together and see what happens. If that doesn't fix it, a new user interface is in your future.

It says right in the owner's manual not to use aluminum foil on the bottom of the oven. Try to remove it with steel wool...

I have a GE double wall oven Model#: JKP37G0LWG. The clock timer began flashing 8888. What does that mean?

Try this..... The problems that the cable causes vary all over the place since it is dependent on which pin is not making good contact in the plug. If your oven has the control panel in the door, try this... Open the top door and in the bottom right you'll find a flat cable that goes from the top door into the unit. It'll be just at the hinge. Pull up on that cable and push it up into the top door. It will likely move just a little. Whilst holding that cable up into the top door look at the control panel and see if it begins behaving normally. GE had a design problem with the connector on that ribbon cable that is inside the door with the control panel. There is no lock on the connector to hold the cable into the plug. It comes loose (just a little) and can give "probe light" error, "overtemp error" (on a cool oven), and any and all sorts of other unusual errors. The plug will even appear to be connected properly when only one or two terminals of the cable aren't making good contact. It is poor design for a sliding card / cable configuration. The fix is to come up with a way of holding the cable into the plug. Since one or more connectors in the cable lose connection, some of the controls will be OK and others won't. If you can "fix" the problem by wiggling that cable then you can have a repairman come out and rig something to hold the cable into the plug. I took my double oven apart and used duct tape and it lasted a year. I used velcro and it seemed to work better. If it fails again I'm going to cut a couple of cable ties and glue them to the cable and plug to create a semi-permanent connection. good luck

Ge JTP 95 error code f11

Remove the connector that extends from the touch pad to the control board, sometimes there will be a plastic "locking bar" that needs to be loosened before the cable can be removed... Squeeze the ears on either side toward the middle and gently lift the locking bar up... If there is no locker, simply "wiggling" the connector softly while pulling should release it. How do I replace the bottom element of my GE oven?

Hundreds of GE ovens, so can't give procedure, but problem is not necessarily the element - could be switch, connection to element, etc. Google GE (model #) lower element not heating. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/donald_f2ed37026a3ac881

After self clean is done how long until it unlocks?

The unit will stay locked until the temperature drops below a certain point, if Grandma opens the oven when it is 900 degrees, its going to be no eyebrows for Thanksgiving. Don't try to force the door open, wait for the display to turn-off the lock icon.

Have a ge truetemp double oven model jkp27boa2bb. The control panel does not work. Turn the temp knob for lower oven and upper oven lite comes on. Is the control panel bad? Lower oven heats up only

The heating element on the top part off oven might be bad or a fuse that's located on back of oven either on or behind back panel.

What's the wiring diagram for a GE wall Ovens digital readout

There should be a diagram somewhere on the oven. Usually on the top or back or if not, inside the terminal block cover where the electrical supply wires go into the oven. Make sure its turned OFF before you remove any covers.

What should the voltages across the elements in an oven be when using the different settings?

The heating element is either off or on and it should be 220. The issue you are having is the thermostat.
