How to Fix Code F3 on GE Oven
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Error F3 in your range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

GE
Gives F3 code, broiler won’t turn off.
Temp sensor measures 1100 ohms.
Element measures 16 ohms.
Starting oven with broiler element removed still sends F3.
What to check next?
Also, is it safe to use the top burners while having this problem with the oven?
Hello. From the symptoms you describe, your main control board(EOC) is damaged. There are relays on the board that handle the heavy amp load of the heating elements(you don't have 400 amps going thru your key switch when you start your car--same applies to your oven) These relays can burn up, have the contacts shorted together, or the main board can become corrupted due to power surges(storm damage).
The F3 error is a temp error. In an oven, NORMALLY, only the main board and the temp sensor control the oven temp. In 98% of oven temp sensors, the proper ohm reading at room temp is 1100 ohms of resistance(+/- 10%).
Did you have a power outage or "brownout" within the last 4-6 weeks? This is not written in stone but USUALLY, if the board was damaged by a current surge, the chips on the board will start to fail in that time frame. If you give me the make and model of your unit, I can look up the part number and price for you. I hope I wasn't too long-winded and helped you!!

Where can I get a replacement temperature control for GE model 169152
I am unsure whether you are asking for the control itself or the knob or ?
If you google for GE 169152 control part you will get some results, including some manuals. Once you find the part number of the part you are looking for, you can either look for that part online, or you should be able to find a local appliance part supply store/warehouse to get it from. I got a GE genuine temperatire control for my GE range last week from ReliableParts locally.

My GE oven works but all elements stopped working, any suggestions?
There are elements in the oven too but I will assume you are referring to the stovetop elements only.
You did not give a model so I can't research any information, but it could be that a main connection has come loose under/behind, or a safety device (fuse) has tripped.
Before working on the stove, turn off the breaker you are dealing with 240 Volts and can be very dangerous.
One thing to test, try turning the breaker off and back on again and test the cooktops, otherwise turn the breaker back off before proceeding.
Some stove have screws under the front lip (maybe covered by the oven door) that with removal, allow the top to be lifted, otherwise you will need to pull away from the wall, disconnect power and access the back for further troubleshooting.

We are getting a F9 code on a GE ZET938 convection wall oven while trying to clean it. What does that code mean?
The wall oven probably has a bad door lock. If the door is stuck shut, average repair cost ~ 300 dollars - 500 Dollars max. Worth calling service if you lack the confidence or experiece to tackle this expensive machine. If the wall oven door actually opens and isn't locked shut, try holding down the door switches to see if you get a response or if the error clears. Recommend calling GE service for this repair if available in your area. 1800 GE CARES
