There is a fuse for the Hi voltage transformer and the magnetron tube. You have to take the cover off to access the fuse.

You have an expensive Monogram microwave so you can expect the parts to be expensive also. The outer glass assembly by itself ballpark cost is about $160 and requires a complete dis-assembly of the door to replace since the screws are all inside. Then if you go by the book--- the door should be checked for microwave leakage after the repair which requires a special test meter. They also sell a complete door assembly at around $300 that comes completely assembled. You need to compare that cost against the age of your microwave and possibly a new unit which I think is still available. Either way its not a cheap fix.

Hello, thank you for posting your question on Fixya. I will be helping you with your Advantium oven. From your description it sounds like your having problem with the oven arcing. While you are using your microwave you can only have arcing occur while you are using the microwave or speedcook feature. While in either mode attention must be given to any mental in the oven. When microwaving place food and containers on the white ceramic tray only. The metal pan should be used during speedcook.

Hi my GE Advantium oven is displaying an error message and beeping. The Error is F3. Could you please help me with this.

F3 This code usually means that the oven sensor needs to be replaced.

You may have to disassemble the door to get to it. Are you sure this is not a double paned glass and it is 2 pieces of glass in one assembly?

contact GE; they should have replacement glass in stock.

I have same unit...power outage made unit come back on and it then requested user to set the clock, but the display shows the hours but won't accept the pushputton to lock it in. I had to look at the control panel today to see how hard it would be to replace.

To take off the front vent panel: first take microwave out of the built-in space, disconnecting the power cord. Then the top outer metal skin can be unscrewed and removed, which exposes the screws that hold in the front top vent and the control panel in place.

If not power is circulating through it, I would suggest to check the fuses inside the appliance first. Make sure you disconnect it from the main power before attemping to remove and check the fuses.

Not sure how this happened or how to fix the problem. In order to sleep tonight (the constant beeping) I had to shut power off at the breaker pannel. Is this representative of the the type of quality that GE stands for???? I am sooo frustrated. I cook with my advantium oven all the time and love the dual abilities of this appliance. Like I said this is brand new and to have the f-3 code which apparently (from what I read) is a failed key pad. I am very dissapointed and am begining to think about pulling my stock from this company!

Never ever use the Self Clean feature. All it exists to do is to keep the makers in a steady stream of sales of spares. The temperature is 800 to 925'F. The parts can't handle it. Try turning off at the breaker overnight to reset.
