JVM1340 lights not working
Hi,Behind the top grill above the door is an access panel to change the light bulb. If the bulb is good but light still don't work, its possible the door switch is bad, but normally if the switch is bad the turn table won't work either. Most likely just a bad bulb part number you would seek is WB36X10003 this is not cheap for a bulb, you maybe able to get a replacement from a local lighting center near you. its a 40 watt, 130V bulbGood Luck I’m happy to help further over the phone at

there are two censors inside one high heat one low heat they can be checked with a meter if both are good its a bad magnatron and exceeds its worth

It makes a sound when on and smells like burning
If it's an arcing sound, there may be grease or food particles on or behind the waveguide cover or in the area of the turntable motor.
Otherwise, it's likely to be a failing high voltage part:
- A sound like gurgling into an empty
coffee mug is one symptom of a failed magnetron, and yet the mag can be bad
without that sound. Usually it will not heat is this is the case.
- A loud buzz, hum, or groan is usually a shorted high voltage rectifier diode, but if this were the case, it would not heat.
- Sometimes a high voltage transformer will cause a loud hum and burning smell, too.
