Check to see if there is 24 volts at the transformer when the blower motor kicks on, if not the transformer will need to be replaced. If you do have 24 volts then work you way from the transformer toward the solenoid and see where the voltage stops, could be the humidistat.

Hello. the buzzing sound you are hearing is coming from the solenoid valve on your humidifier. This could be due to low water flow going into the solenoid or the valve itself is going bad. I would check the saddle valve first and make sure you are getting a good stream of water to the solenoid valve, sometimes sediment gets built up in the saddle valve preventing water to flow. If the water flow looks good then replace solenoid valve.

Hello, there should be a thumbscrew on the front of the unit that you turn to open the unit, once you loosen this it should come off, if not try moving the front cover a little it should come off. You do not have to unplug the connector but make sure the power is off to the unit when replacing the filter.

Hello, the first to confirm is if you are receiving 24 volts at the transformer, if you are then check for 24 volts going into the humidistat and out of the humidistat, if voltage is confirmed there then check if your solenoid is recieving 24 volts, if it is and the solenoid is not letting water into the humidifier than your solenoid is bad and must be replaced. If you do not have 24 volts at the transformer then turn off power to the transformer and set your meter to read continuity, you should have resistance if not the transformer is bad and must be replaced. If you have power to the humidifier and not humidifieing properly then you have to set the humidistat according to what the outdoor temp is, the outside temp determines what setting and % of humidity you should have in your home. Here is a what it should be
-20 set to 15%
-10 set to 20%
0 set to 25%
10 set to 30%
20 set to 35%
above 30 set to 40%

The first thing I would do is to check the solenoid valve to see if it is closing fully when then t-stat is not calling for heat.This can easily be done by loosening the compressin nut on the leavig side of the soleniod valve. Do this with the furnace off and the thermostat down far enough to make sure it stays that eay.You should get a few drops out but if is under pressure it will spray.
If it's is not closing you can take valve apart and clean or buy a new solenoid valve. I hope this Helps you. Thank you.

Hello, the most common reason this happens is because the solenoid valve is bad and remains open allowing water to flow continously regardless if the furnace is on or off. I assume you have either a sail switch or current sensing relay energizing the humidifier when the heat is on, if not thats another reason it would run continously.

Hello, if the water continuosly flows thru even with the humidistat turned off then your solenoid valve is bad and must be replaced.

The saddle valve that controls the water is only to be used as an "on" or "off" control. It is not recommended as a throttle valve since it can leak if it is not placed in the full open or fully closed setting

I have the exact same problem. I can hear the solenoid "click" but when I try and "blow" threw it I cannot. I removed the little screen filter inside where the copper pipe connects, still no luck. Not sure what the flat blade screw is for with the locking nut, other than to adjust the position of the solenoid. I checked for flow of water outside of the valve. Also my contractor hooked this up to the Hot water side of the water heater. Does anyone know if this is correct? I would think you get more corrosion on this side.

Check the hose running to the humidifier after the solenoid, it could be plugged.

To effectively troubleshoot that you will need to use an electric meter...
The voltage that runs the solenoid valve is 24vac .... check at the power supply (transformer) or furnace for power going to the humidifier... then follow the power through the humidistat and to the valve...

If the power stops... you found your problem...

That is really the only way you can check that out...

Actually you usually install on the return at least 6 feet from the furnace...but it can also be installed on the supply if need be...

I would suggest that you locate supply valve to humidifier and loosen compression nut on outlet side to see if you have water at that point. If you do shut valve off and disconnect supply line on incoming water line and make sure it is clean. Check for plugged screens or lime build up. Clean as needed. If you aren't getting any flow thru shut off valve then turn off water supply to the valve and replace it. I hope this helps you. Thanks

You can turn the blower on so that the humidifier will run more... there should be a manual on detting on your t-stat that will run the blower constantly. The humdifier should be wired to go on withthe blower.
The other option would be to install a stem humidifier which will produce more humidity faster...

sounds like u didnt get ur drain in the hole right or u didnt get the filtr in correctly take it back out and be gentle and put it back together and should fix the problem

First check to see if you have power at the transformer, that controls the humidifier. If you have 24v there, check to make sure you have 24v going into the humidistat, and 24v leaving the humidstat. If all this is correct, and the solenoid is not getting power, you may have an isolation relay wired into the blower motor (only in some applications) that has gone bad. Check the blower cabinet for this relay. Hope this helps
