Rinnai Heater - error message "12"
An error code of 12 on your heater means a flame failure has occured. It could be the following: Flame Rod dirty, Obstruction in burner, improper gas pressure, or a bad ignitor board. I am suggesting you get a technician who is familiar with Rinnai products to check out the above items.

Rinnai 431wt filter light won't go out
If you have changed the filter, and the light stays on then you need to let the system stay down for 24 hours without running. Also go ahead and check the vent cap on the outside of the unit. The light will go awaa by itself if you need to use the system

I have Rinnai Glaxy 3 burnner gas heater. It
Cleaning of your model Rinnai Vented Gas Heater is not difficult. But will require the removal the front of the heater's cabinet.
What you'll need: A can of compressed air with a straw nozzle (like you clean your computer with). A vacuum with a hose and brush attachment (a Shop Vac is perfect for this, if you have one), and soft, clean rags.
To walk you thru all the proper steps of cleaning the interior of the unit, I have provided a link to the Owner's Manual for your model, in case you have misplaced yours. You can download and print the manual for future reference. What you're looking for starts on page 35.

The heater shuts off. when i hear water gurgling
if it has twin flu with exhaust and air intake there is a drain point at point where flu joins onto the heater, and if flu was downhill it wouldn't be retaining water in it as it would be draining out as water will find the quick and easy way out but i'm pretty sure that there is a drain point on flu where it joins to heater, so it also may be installed incorrectly most of the time these heaters get installed without following the book, we sell rinnai and other gas heaters and its rare that the installer of heater follows instructions of manual as we have found out with call outs so i would be checking installation and looking for a drain point as flu shouldn't have water in it if running downhill (all drains are run with a down hill slope and clear themselves of water unless drain blocked or has airlock and i don't think you would have either) have you rang and spoke to rinnai also it may help and they may have a qualified service agent near by!

Do you get an error code? 11. 12 68, 72, etc. Does the combustion motor come on. You should be able to hear it. Is the exhaust and air pipe clear? Is the air hose hooked to the back of the stove?
