call the kenwood company spares department first and ask if spares are still available for that model, then ask for the address of a service agent in your area if there are no spares then sending it any where for a service may get a reply that it is unrepairable because of lack of spares

go online with the model and search for replacement parts

extremely unlikely as manufacturers stop carrying parts after 5 years and aftermarket suppliers and service agent after 10 years you may get gears from alibaba site but the time taken , makes junking it for a new unit a better idea

I put an extra plastic circle in the base of my machine as well as doing the adjustment and it worked.

the head gears are not engaging properly could be the selector knob or stripped gears get a quote from an appliance repair shop but if the mixer has a few years on ti then it will probably turn out cheaper to get a new one

Hi,it fits on the blender attachment at the back of the machine.It should twist into place then secure it with the clip that goes over the top.Put on which disc you require,secure with locking nut,put lid on and you should be good to go.Cheers,Carl

Only a bit of CRC and some brute force is going to work. Unplug the machine. Remove the bowl, lock the head down, squirt some CRC around the top of the paddle where the shaft goes in. Get someone to hold the mixer from moving about then grip the paddle firmly with 2 hands and turn it left and right. Gradually you will begin to get increasing movement until in the end you will be able to unlock it from the shaft. Once it is off you will need to thoroughly clean the shaft then you will need to scrape out the inside of the hole in the paddle. I carefully use a small round file, I am trying to clean the hole out, not increase the size of it beyond what originally was. The hole size has become smaller over time because of flour or similar entering around the shaft during use.

Put water in Kenwood and a bowl inside the Kenwood to hold eggs. Eggs need to be done SLOWLY. Can also add a LITTLE water to aggs as they cook to slow down curdling . Basically you need to turn Kenwood into a double boiler. Lift bowl with eggs in and out of Kenwood to control temperature and whisk away now under control. Lift bowl and cool and slow down cooking and lower back in water and Kenwood to hear back up. Keep whisking and lift and lower bowl as needed. Some melted butter doesn't hurt either!

Sounds to be dirty. There is a thing called tuner cleaner you can use to clean it. You will need to remove the control knob and try spraying into the control,but you may have to get inside to clean it up good by breaking down the unit.

Look in the oven, the cake may be burning. If the smell is from the mixer it could be a capacitor burning out, it could be a fault on the PCB, it could be a poor connection in the wiring, it could be a faulty armature, it could be faulty field windings, it could be a bush or bearing nipping up.
