Here are the two pages of the Aloha Breeze Mdl 84001's Operation Manual (including the construction instructions, basic circuit diagram, and operation instructions).
Remote Control
I have not solved my problem and I do not have money to pay someone to tell them I am disabled and need a new remote control for my Alohabreeze Tower Fan, Model 84001(Z50D), Serial 028868. I am not computer literate. Don't you have a toll free number? Remember all I need to know is how much is it going to cost to replace the REMOTE CONTROL and where I can send to get it in the mail as I have no Income or credit cards, but will send a money order. I hope this explains everything. Thank you, Sheila Pike, 110 E> Smith St. Whiteville, NC 28472
My Aloha Breeze tower fan remote control doesn't work does anyone know how to find the infrared code or how to reset the code?
Hi. I'm certainly no expert, but I do have same fan as yours & every now and then have a remote problem. I don't think the issue is with a remote code and I doubt you'll be able to go the IR blaster route (That does sound way cool though)! Try these:
1. Replace batteries (I know, I know...but you'd be surprised).
2. Apply a little pressure to the bottom battery spring when you remove them. Use a small screwdriver & pull up to try to stretch the spring. A loose battery connection was causing my problem.
3. Last, remove the batteries and pry the case apart (Try a butter knife). Don't be overly cautious...not much can go wrong. Remove all the guts, paying attention to the order to reassemble). A rubber key pad will fall out along with a small printed circuit board. (This might be a good time to stretch the top battery spring if you didn't have much luck with the bottom). Get a couple Q-tips and dip in some rubbing alcohol or other contact cleaner. Rub the tops of the 'feet' on the bottom of the rubber keypad where they press on the circuit board. Your q-tips will be very black now from the rubbber. Now get a clean Q-tip, dip in the cleaner and rub the small area on the printed circuit board ONLY WHERE THE FEET FROM THE KEYPAD ACTUALLY CONTACT. Pay close attention to broken or loose items while open; esp. battery wires. Now reassemble. Hope this helps. Larry P.S. I've also had good luck with this method on anything with a keypad.
How to dissamble to clean
I just used an air air compressor with a soft rubber tip and went at my two tower fans outside. It took maybe 10 minutes shooting air in from many different points but both fans now work as good as new. If it's been a couple of seasons like mine you'll be amazed at how much blows out.
Motor stopped working. I need
