Several probable causes of this.

1. Your Black is empty and the printer is trying to approximate the Black using the other colours. Check and replace Black.
2. Your Black printhead is blocked and all you are seeing is the other colours that are used to make the black into a full black. Check cartridge and do a printhead clean to see if this clears it. Also print off a print quality test sheet (In the Ink Management options on the printer)
3. Another colour has been put into the Black Slot on your printer. Replace the incorrect cartridge and hope that the printhead has not been damaged by using the wrong cartridge. May need several printhead cleans to clear incorrect ink from the feed lines.

I would recommend downloading the drivers for your particular operating system directly from Brothers website. You can get them from here.

It appears that one can purchase the black cartridge separately from the colour cartridges. But your Brother machine is designed to stop ALL printing operations when any of the ink cartridges are empty. In that case you would need to replace all ink cartridges that are empty in order to resume printing.

Silly as it sounds, you may need to but a printer cable; they are universal to most printers and a little too expensive if you ask me. Manufacturers knock 10 dollars off the top cost of the printer you buy only for you to spend another 20 buying this cable, my advice is to ask people you know with printers if the have any extra cables around; people don't usually throw those away.

see the printer is connected to the computer, printer is powered on, & the document u want to scan is layed upside down in scanner. then open "paint" software & go to "from scanner or camera". follow the instructions on screen & finally save the image in required format which u will see in save window bottom side (drop down menu).

the prin head is clogged,try to clean 2-3 times,if the problem persist change the print head

There is no reason to clean or replace. Just reset counter with this procedure.
the proper reset code sequence to reset DCP printers without numeric keypad should be as follows:

1. press buttons OK, Menu, Mono Start one by one, followed by up arrow key four times. this should all be done as short a time as possible, around 3 seconds.

2. enter maintenance mode 80 by pressing the up/down arrow key and set key to select numbers 8 and 0

3. press blue MONO start button to select PURGE which requires it to be pressed a number of times before PURGE appears on the LCD screen of the printer

4. then use the up'down key and OK button to enter the reset code 2, 7, 8 and 3 keys to reset the counter : Note this does not overwrite the number next to PURGE on the LCD screen but once the last number is added it gets reset to 0000

5. press Stop/Exit key to go to root of maintenance mode

6. enter 9,9 to exit maintenance mode

Ink absorber tank is full. You will need to have it replaced or enter service mode and reset the count (not really a good idea as it will overflow)

here is the support site for this printer ...(the 130C series ) ..just select the operation system in use ..and download the driver ...and run it after that ..
