Is it giving any errors when you try to print?

Sounds like it is in the scanner software you re using. I would uninstall the software and printer, turn it off and remove the cables from the computer as well. Reboot the computer and the printer and reinstall the software. It will usually tell you when to attach the USB cable again.

each replacable part has its own life of rotation, heat conversion ect. may be the life cycle of the drum reached to end. you need to replace the drum assembly.

I got this same error message on a newly acquired Brother DCP-7040 that I purchased used off of ebay. As I was troubleshooting this unit (that I bought untested off of ebay - hey gambling has paid off handsomely for me many times before!), this error message kept popping up.I checked the COUNTERS (page & Drum life) and found out that the DRUM had 0% life left. BUT, the reason it showed ZERO was because this unit did not have any drum! The toner cartridge (TN-360) needs to sit WITHIN the drum (DR-360) on this DCP-7040 unit, as well as in models DCP-7030, MFC-7340, MFC-7345C, and MFC-7440N. So perhaps some of these "put the black toner cartridge back in" problems could be related to the DRUM (or lack thereof). Use the Brother **** that came with the printer or download the scanner drivers directly from Brother and then use "install new device" from computer control panel and point to downloaded drivers. Brother site has the manual too.

sounds like the modem on your printer has failed depending on how old it is most likely it would be cheaper to buy a new printer

If you are referring to a page number that is appearing on printed documents then you will have to look at the software you are using. If it is a premade document like an PDF file you would need a program capable of editing a PDF. If you are referring to the date and page number on a fax you likely cannot delete that.
