Hi, probably the cd may be corrupted or first u format the previous installed advanced os using that os installation disc and then install xp.because if u r using windows vista or seven it won roll back to previous versions. Another option is you can have two os on two drives

If you have formatted the hard drive, you are quite correct, you will have no system recovery data.
The cheapest place to purchase a new system will be ebay but beware of bogus disks!

when the red dots show up is because the front cover of the screen is a bit loose fron the auctual screen it self!

All you can do locally is take screen off the laptop as try to press the screen from the side corners that maybe works for a litle while then you'll need to get a new one!

you need to install your sound driver and camera driver again. but in compatible mode. this time you open the control panel and look for the option under programs and features titled"run program made for older version of windows" and install the two drivers.they will start working
