Panasonic VIERA TC-P54Z1 54 in. Plasma TV Questions & Answers
Red and white lines on picture
unforunately this can be caused by a power supply issue, if this is not case the plasma 'gas' in your television maybe coming to its end. Your tv can be repaired by a specialist and refilled with gas. I'd just watch tv till it dies and replace it
How do you turn off
There is a "Format" button on the TV remote. Just keep pressing that until "Full" appears. This is the normal setting however I would look at all of them (there is only 4 or 5) and find one you like.
How to connect a panasonic
What is the source? if you are using an HDMI connection from an HD source you should have digital audio. also, if you are connecting digital cable directly to the TV it will send digital audio out as well. check the optical cable at the amp end to see if it is working. it should glow red at the tip if it is.
there are digital input mode settings as well on some receivers. if it is set to DTS it won't work on PCM audio. if it is set to auto Digital it should work on any standard. check the PCM or DTS options in both the TV, and receiver if those settings are there.
HOW TOO CONNECT AUDIO OUT?
hi,
u can connect the digital audio output (optical) to ur av receiver or any amplifier wich have a digital audio input(optica).
ok
What board should I change
Three blinks of the power LED indicates an over-current or over-voltage condition in one of the DC supplies of the AP board. The AP board is repairable. Therefore the use of an ohmmeter and peak-hold-voltmeter is required to determine the cause of the shutdown. An over-voltage condition is definitely a defect of the AP board. An over-current condition may be due to a short circuit located in the AP board, A board, or the LCD panel.
Panasonic Viera tc-p65s2 - 7 blinks, won't turn on
I had the same problem with my Viera. if you disconnect the power and ribbon cable from the YSUS board (check youtube for how), the light led will blink 6 times, indicating the YSUS is bad. Check ebay for TNPA5175 board (about $115-160). The pop is one of the DG402RP chips burnout. These are about $4, but only available from China. If you can wait a month for delivery, you can solder the new one to replace the bad one. You may want to purchase several in case more are bad or it happens again.
