If you have a phone modem, it usually has two jacks, one goes to the wall and the other is for a phone. There will be little icons that will represent a wall jack or phone. If all you see is one large "jack", that may be the ethernet or NIC jack; you might not have a modem, as many newer computers don't come with a phone modem. It's cheap enough to buy a phone modem that plugs into a USB port, or to get an internal modem. With the model number, someone might give a link to a picture showing the ports available, and their titles.

Internal speakers not working
Some desktop computers do not have speakers. You have to plug in speakers. They have their own power supply, and a cord with a lime green plug. It plugs into the lime green hole on the back (or sometimes also on the front) of the computer.

Cannot access c drive on laptop
You don't describe any error-codes you get, nor where the access is blocked. I mean, 1) is the access to the harddisk blocked by BIOS (You need to enter an password)2) Is the harddisk formatted, but not accessible, because there're no bootable files of an OS present (i.e. Windows is not installed)3) is the harddisk damagedWith current description it's fairly impossible to see where the problem is -erely- located.

Pci usb port
As long as you get an expansion card in the PCI interface it will work it just depends on if you want two usb slots or four,or more, and what your willing to pay for one. They go for anywhere from $10.00 to $60.00. But I live by the saying "You Get What You Pay For" and it has served me well. Hope this helps
